Post Graduated Program of Civil Department on Hasanuddin Universityhosts a conference The 2016
International Seminar on Infrastructure Develoment (ISID 2016) which is held at Hasanuddin
University, Makassar, Indonesia on 22 September 2016. This conference provides excellent
opportunities for researchers, scientists, engineers, entrepreneur, management and vendors working in
areas related to Civil Engineering or All Engineering to present their latest research results, and
exchange views and experience.
Infrastructures has its own role in developing a country, especially; transportation system, public
facility, irrigation system and river structures. To implement all these structure in order to accelerate the
availability of infrastructure all over Indonesia facing ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) /
MasyarakatEkonomi ASEAN (MEA), it means there are many construction works nowadays in
Indonesia, of which need attention from civil engineers to inovate and construct infrastructure safely but
at reasonable costs. This event will be the third international seminar on infrastructure development, the
first has been held successfully in Bau-Bau , and the second also successfully held in Balikpapan. The
Third International Seminar On Infrastructure Development 2016 which will be held on September 22,
2016 also as one of the event to celebrate BHasanuddin University anniversary.
This year the conference will have the theme: “The Role of Infrastructure in MEA Implementation”. The
sub topic of the conference includes (1) Water Security & Conservation, (2) Renewable & Sustainable
Development, (3) Transportation Engineering, (4) Geotechnical Development, (5) Eco-Material and
Advanced Materials in Civil Engineering, and (6) Structural Engineering.
Hopefully, this proceeding book will be helpful for researchers, scientists, engineers, entrepreneur,
management and vendors working in areas related to Civil Engineering.
