三． Trouble shooting
1. Cannot connect computer, USB device cannot be detected.
If you install USB cable and connect with the computer, but the
Device cannot be detected. You can debug it by below way.
A: Make sure the DUT has power on. All the voltage is at its level.
B: Measure the SPI ROM voltage, make sure +V1P8A is on, if the
SPI Rom signal is abnormal, +V5P0S voltage level is 0V, +V_VCC is
Always 0.7V,the SVID is not working.
C: Measure the signal USB_ULPI_REFCLK, if this clock is OK, it
may confirm that the SOC and EMMC device is normal. If it still can
not detect the USB device, measure below signal if Necessary
(show as below Schematic).Check all the resistance, measure this
USB_ULPI_RST# signal if it is asserted.

D: Measure the signal from U2202; eliminate the open or short
problem. One way to check +VUSB_CONN voltage, you can
install one OTG line, and then measure this voltage level.
E: If the signal USB_ULPI_REFCLK is ok, U2201 and U2202 have
not any open or short problem, consider replacing these
chipset.
2. Camera no function. Cannot open or detect camera.
A: Measure camera voltage +V2P8_CAM.If this voltage is
abnormal, measure SOC_+V2P8_CAM_EN,if all the signal is
normal, no open or short issue, consider replacing U1901.
B: If camera voltage is ok. Measure the signal from camera
connector to SOC.
C: Check OS software, Download the OS image if Necessary.
3. WIFI or BT no function.
A: Make sure +VBATA_WIFI, VDD_WL_PA, +V1P8S_WIFI, VIN_LDO
voltage is at the level.

B: Make sure all the signal have connected to the SOC, no open
or short issue. Check the RF line and connector if it is normal.

C: Check the EN signal to ensure the SOC have initial the
chipset. If the power and EN signal is normal. Measure the
impedance of the SDIO signal and the pad of chipset.
4. Shutdown when power up.

Power up the DUT. Press switch key more than 6sec.Measure
the power rails after power on. If it power up but shutdown
soon, check the thermal for PMIC and SOC. In general, if the
PMIC thermal is high and heat you hand, should check and
measure the impedance for all the power rails. It should be
cause of one or more power rails burning or shorting. The PMIC
is not easy being burned. But if the LCD is bad, it may cause the
PMIC burning. At present not found anyone PMIC chipset
burning issue. In addition, it the hardware has not trouble
found and the chipset thermal is normal, check the IAFW
directly, Flash IAFW again is helpfully. Anyway, all the power
rails should be at its level after power on.
5. TF card no detected.
When the DUT is working normal under OS. Push TF card
directly, OS should show the card icon, the TF card can be
detected and used. If push TF into the connector but no any
response, measure +VSD power whether it is 3.3V or not.
Measure the detect pin(pin10 of connector CARD1401) after
install TF card. It should be low power level. Also, check the
route from SOC to TF connector.
6. GPS no function
A: measure the GPS power rails. Insure GPS_POWERON signal
is high. If it cannot open the GPS function, it should be the
power issue.
B: Check the component around the GPS chipset.

C: Check the route from SOC to GPS chipset.
D: If GPS function can be open, but cannot search the start or
signal is weakly, check the RF connector or related circuit.
If all hardware is normal, but GPS function still abnormal,
replace the chipset.
7. Battery cannot charge.

Connect USB cable to computer USB point or adapter, low
battery indicator should be charged. If the charge is abnormal,
analysis the circuit as below.
A: If the fuel gauge can show quantity of electricity of the
battery, check the circuit of PU3301.Measure the I2C_0_SCL
and I2C_0_SDA signal which near PU3301,it should be high
after connect battery. Check GPIO_SUS2 signal and related
circuit.
B: If the fuel gauge cannot show quantity of electricity of the
battery, check the circuit of PU3401.

Summary:
Any abnormal from the DUT, we should check the power rails
of them first. Insure all power rails at their level. Check the component
from the DUT, loss, cold solder or bad component may cause the
abnormal. Single function fault could check module circuit for issue
analysis.
