Guidelines and Mechanics
A. Introduction
The “Mr. & Ms. NSTP-CWTS 2019” is a wit, talent and beauty inside and out search of the students of Western
Mindanao State Univeristy, who will serve as ambassadors of the core subject, NSTP-CWTS, in promoting advocacies
in our school and community. They will also attend programs and activities relevant to their titles.
The candidates will compete on the following categories:
Facebook React
Advocacy Attire
Production Number
Question and Answer Portion
B. Qualifications
1. Must be a bonafide student of Western Mindanao State University enrolled in the subject NSTP-CWTS under
Mr. Robert-Oletres Parcon
2. Each troop must have one (1) male and one (1) female representative to compete.
C. Rules
1. REGISTRATION. Online submission of accomplished registration forms and requirements shall be submitted
to the Head of Program on or before November 24, 2019
2. PUNCTUALITY. Be on (better yet ahead of) time. The program and activities will proceed as soon as the
invited guest/s of honor and Judges have arrived. If you missed a segment of the pageant (including the
Facebook Campaign), you would automatically get a zero “0” for that segment.
3. REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE. Strictly only recycled and reusable products are used on the Advocacy attire. The
base of the attire (ex. Crinoline, breast pads) can be an exemption but still reusable products are highly
encouraged.
4. INSPIRING ADMIRATION AND RESPECT. Be creative in exuding the beautiful and sexy you.
5. OBEDIENCE. Compliance with the rules and instructions herein set forth is highly valued. For every failure to
comply (ex. Wearing prohibited attire), five (5) percentage points shall be deducted from your rating/score
for the segment (ex. advocacy) you committed a/the violation/s.
6. FINALITY OF DECISION of the Panel of Judges. The decision of the Judges shall be final, unless there is an
error in the computation of scores or ratings. In case of disqualification of the winners after the Mr. & Ms.
NSTP-CWTS 2019, the next-inrank candidate (in the category concerned) shall be given the title/award and
corresponding prizes.
D. Mechanics
1. Each candidate will compete with the following categories:
 FACEBOOK REACTS
- Each candidate will have official pageant photos that will be uploaded on the candidates’ Facebook
profile. Candidates are encouraged to share their official pageant photos to gather more likes or
reacts from their friends. The percentage will be computed based on the highest number of total
likes of all the photos of a certain candidate.
- The candidate with the highest number of likes will get 10% of the category Facebook Likes.
 ADVOCACY ATTIRE
- presentation of the candidates’ advocacy of their troop. The attire is will be made strictly with
reusable/reused materials by the troop members.
- Attire must not be too skin revealing or body tight.
- Must be related with the troop’s advocacy.
- They will be rated according to its Creative Design and Poise & Bearing.
 PRUDCTION NUMBER
- Production number will be choreographed for the entire candidates
- Candidates will only perform and do their best and will be judged by their execution of performance
 QUESTION AND ANSWER
- Each candidate will be given one question to answer and the answer will be rated according to its
relevance, substance, & value to the question given.
2. Advocacy Attire and Production Number will serve as the Preliminary Round and Top Ten (10) Candidates
will be chosen with the following criteria:
Facebook reacts – 10%
Advocacy Attire – total of 80%
Creative Design – 50%
Poise & Bearing – 15%
Use of recycled materials – 15%
Production number – 10%
3. For the Final Round, chosen Candidates will make their final presentation of their Advocacy attire and Top
Five (5) Candidates will be chosen according to the following Criteria:
Answer – total of 60%
Relevance to the Advocacy – 40%
Diction – 10%
Confidence – 10%
Final Walk – 40%
Elegance – 20%
Poise and Personality – 20%
NOTE: During the Final Round, scores will be BACK TO ZERO
4. Only one (1) female and male will be crowned Mr. & Ms. NSTP-CWTS 2019. From the other Top Four, they
will be awarded according to the following:
- Mr. and Ms. MakaDiyos
- Mr. and Ms. Makatao
- Mr. and Ms. Makabansa
- Mr. and Ms. MakaKalikasan
E. Awards
The following Special Awards will be given to candidates that have garnered the highest score on each category
or have been chosen by the judges:
1. Mr. and Ms. Congeniality
2. People’s Choice Award
3. Most Photogenic
4. Best in Production Number
5. Best in Advocacy Attire
