JOB SUMMARY

Web Developers use technical skills to plan, create and code web pages according to the
requirement of the client. They are involved in the technical and graphical aspect of the layout of
web pages, not only producing a web page but they also determine the functioning of the web
pages. Web designers are also responsible for the maintenance of the existing web pages.

Job, Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities

Job Duties

 Strong understanding of cross-browser compatibility, general web functions and standards


 Constant communication with colleagues
 Understand Web Applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS,
JavaScript, JQuery and API's
 Effective functional knowledge or hands on design experience with Web Services
 Strong grasp of security principles

Tasks

 Create web models or prototype for the client


 upgrade old websites to improve the efficiency

 provide technical support to solve web or server issues

 produce products that are user friendly

 implement security features to secure database


 prepare intranets web updates for the employees

 collaborate with staff and client to develop and format web content

 Initiate/Implement periodic testing plans in case of system failure

 develop code structure to solve specific tasks

 Train persons responsible for managing the web

Responsibilities

 Responsible for designing coding and modifying websites, from layout to function and
according to a client's specifications.
 Create visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Qualification/ Skill Required

Qualification

Education Level: BS.Software Engineering/ BS.Computer Science

Knowledge

 Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and
spelling of the word, rules of composition and grammar
 Thorough knowledge of web-based technologies including browsers
 Knowledge of PHP pages and HTML code
 object-oriented technology, and/or other design-related or graphics applications
 Strong understanding of user interface design processes, methodologies and web standards;
Outstanding on-line portfolio

 Efficiency in JavaScript, JQuery, HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3

Physical Requirement

Physically sound person with good health is able to perform the job of a web designer.

Working Conditions

Web developer is an indoor job with control of environment. Electronic mailing is a daily routine
work of this job. Almost all of the work is done in sitting.

Web developer directly reports to its immediate supervisor
