LESSON PLAN IN UNDERSTANDING CULTURE, SOCIETY AND POLITICS

AUGUST 5, 2019 GAS-12 (9:45-10:45)

I. Objectives
At the end of 60-minutes period, the students should be able to:

a. Identify the context, content, processes and consequences of socialization and


enculturation;
b. Analyze the role of socialization and enculturation in upsetting the society; and
c. Value the roles of socialization and enculturation in forming oneself.

II. Subject Matter: Enculturation and Socialization.


a. CONTENT STANDARD: The learners demonstrate an understanding of:
1. How individual learn culture and become competent members of society.
2. How individual should behave as part of political community.

b. PERFORMANCE STANDARD: The learners should:


1. Identify norms and values to be observed in interacting with others in society,
and the consequences of ignoring these rules.
2. Asses the rules of social interaction to maintain stability of everyday life and the
role of innovation in response to problems and challenges.
3. Recognize the value of human rights and promote the common good.

c. LEARNING COMPETENCIES:
1. Explain the development of one self and others as a product of socialization and
enculturation (UCSP11/12BMS-Ig-15).

learns and shares as a member of a
society”.

pictures that were given. (The students will do so)

“ Balloon Popping”
Direction: Pass the balloon to the person
next to you and when the music stops, the
person who holds the balloon will be the one
to pop it and answer the question inside.

culture.

Direction: In a ½ sheet of paper write some of the values your family holds dear. In
what ways do these values affect your lifestyle as a teenager?
