    Use
    DP 5040 Plus is a highly efficient dispersant and offers the following advantages in aqueous systems:

    ● it is effective at low dosages and needs no additional wetting agents, nor dispersants in the grind.

    ● demonstrates excellent gloss retention in gloss and semi-gloss systems, based on a broad variety of
    commercially available polymer emulsions

    ● paints where DP 5040 Plus was used, display excellent viscosity stability upon storage

    ● DP 5040 Plus as the primary pigment dispersant often allows for a decreased level, or complete
    removal of other surfactants

    ● paints reach high scrub resistance

    ● it is an energy saver

    ● DP 5040 Plus promotes total colour development, even with difficult-to-disperse pigments

    ● good compatibility with reactive pigments such as zinc oxide

    ● it is compatible with all the different raw materials (emulsions, pigments, fillers, thickeners, etc.) which are
    in use to produce water-based paints.

    DP 5040 Plus is also an excellent dispersant for clay slurries. Its benefits to the manufacturing of tiles,
    whiteware, refractories and other ceramic systems include:

    ● increase of the solids content of the slurry


    ● maintain operational viscosity for spray drying
    ● energy savings
    ● increase spray drying capacity
    ● stable, easy-to-handle slip

    Dosage
    The quantity of DP 5040 Plus that has to be used is dependent upon the system. In general the dosage is
    between 0,2 – 0,5 %, calculated on the total formulation. In critical formulations it is possible to increase the
    dosage up to 1%.

    Storage Conditions

    DP 5040 Plus can freeze at temperatures below 0° C. When this happens, do not apply direct heat but
    allow warm up to room temperature and mix thoroughly before use.

    Shelflife

    Subject to appropriate storage under the usual storage and temperature conditions, our products are durable
    for at least 2 years.
