Sinabligay Prestawran will be a locally owned outlet serving aquaculture products like
milkfish, tilapia, shrimp, oyster, mussels and crabs that will be the image of the business.
Sinabligay Prestawran in San Juan, Southern Leyte is anticipating to provide a
combination of high standard food enjoyed and highly sought by locals at value pricing,
with a serene atmosphere. Sinabligay Prestawran truly will be the solution to increase the
demand of seafood industry in our locality.
Even with the today’s very stiff competition among the restaurant, Sinabligay Prestawran
will seek to be the friendliest and trendiest joint in Southern Leyte where all people from
all walks of life will feel comfortable to stay and mingle freely without any disturbance.
This restaurant will be eclectic, inviting and warm where customers will enjoy the
aquaculture products which is in comparison to Pagatpat Restaurant; the only restaurant
that also offers a fresh aquaculture product. But what makes Sinabligay Prestawran
different from others is it also present the culture of the Filipino. We intend to use a native
material for our customers like using fresh coconut cut in half as our bowl soup as it will
also add flavor to the dish, a native nito vine plates with banana leaves, having a glass,
spoon and fork made from coconut shell. As this is a Filipino restaurant “kamayan and
boodle fight” culture will be one of our mainstream idea for this restaurant. In this, we will
have our own uniqueness from other restaurants that indulges our culture and show the
agriculture product of San Juan. Beside from that the business can also help our
ecosystem in a way of avoiding the use of plastic and hazardous materials that will affect
our surroundings.
Sinabligay Prestawran aspires to be lounging, in which the music will be supplemented
by live performance of the local band and on top of that every Friday night we will be
having the tradition music of Filipino called “harana”. What makes it more unique is that
it is a floating native restaurant which will be located at the sea of Pong-oy, San Juan,
Southern Leyte. This venue will also be a perfect spot because this place has a Mangrove
trees which known to be good place for cultivating aquatic resources.
The restaurant will seek to provide the area inhabitants and tourists with special foods
while they enjoy listening to live music and harana of the local band. This venue will be
run full time by professional and experience expert in hospitality industry. Kitchen chefs
will include ones with vast experience in the industry to meet the customers demand.
My main priority is to establish a seafood restaurant that offers a fresh seafood that even
the customer can choose to pick their own milkfish, tilapia, oyster, mussels, crabs and
shrimp. Latest goals will be open more restaurant outlets in the surrounding area. This
proposal is designed to obtain an objective location for the initial launch of this restaurant.
The financing and capital consolidation will be from shareholders and it will enable
Sinabligay Prestawran to fruitfully open and expand through period of less than three
years. The first capital resources will boost this restaurant to offer its customers a value-
driven comfort and entertainment brought by the creativity of the employees and
founders.
Sinabligay Prestawran will target youngsters and entice them to bring on board their allies
and relatives through our eco-friendly and innovative environment coupled with high
quality services and unique selection of dipping sauces together with delicious seafood.
Introduction
The Filipino dining culture is a delightful sight to see and experience. With a wide range
of cuisines and delicacies from all corners of the archipelago, one will never get enough
of the Filipino gastronomy’s distinct flavors, which are highly influenced by both Eastern
and Western culture.
One of the most popular food that everyone would love to eat is Seafood. In the
Philippines, seafood is really a big trend. When you talk about seafood at any kind, it is
present here in our country. Fishing is always the number one way of life here in the
Philippines, that’s why Filipinos love seafood and you should also taste the Philippines
seafood.
We see this, as a good opportunity to have a seafood restaurant here in San Juan
specially because we have a good place for aquaculture situated at Pong-oy, San Juan,
Southern Leyte. San Juan municipal still don’t have a well-known seafood restaurant even
to its neighbor municipalities’. Well, there’s a restaurant that offer some seafood but
there’s no such place that offers a fresh serve seafood. It will be a good proposal to be
impose in our municipal to have our own trade mark. This proposal will be focusing on
aquaculture to make sure that we will always serve a fresh seafood to our customer. We
are even encouraging our customers to catch their own fish in the situated area where
they are cultured.
And one thing that makes tourists even more interested to experience the country’s dining
culture is the unique way of eating with the use of hands. Just like any other Asian
countries, Filipinos have their own traditional way of dining known as “kamayan”. This
dining culture was practices by locals ever since the pre-colonial era. The tradition of
Filipino dining has been in an informal manner and is a communal affair between families
or a large number of people, which is why kamayan is considered as the most natural
way of eating during feasts, holidays celebrations, or even at home meals. The set-up of
kamayan is done by serving a variety of food that spread out in portions on banana leaves.
This is somehow linked to the concept of “boodle fight”, a kind of communal feast
originated from the Philippine Army, wherein people gather at a long table of food to eat
with their bare hands.
The proposal values the traditional culture of a Filipino, we will use eating with bare hands
and boodle fight. And eating seafoods with bare hands is the best way to enjoy your meal.
But of course, we will still use a fork and spoon made from coconut shell considering that
not all people will eat with a bare hand. One thing that this business that would be a
highlight is that it will be a floating restaurant that have live performance local band and
every Friday night will be nourishing the Filipino culture again by having a serenade or it
is well-known in the Philippines as “harana”. One way to relax our mind is through music
and places that near the sea. How more could it be so relaxing if the restaurant is above
the sea that also emphasize the traditional music called harana.
Objectives
To make Sinabligay Prestawran a unique destination spot for all sea foods lover.
To open other branches within the region of our third year of operation
To gain a market share in an Southern Leyte restaurant industry by creating a presence
as a the most successful food joint.
Our goal is to establish a unique and all time restaurants that will set the trend for other
upcoming restaurant on the best way to offer services.
Our main goal will serve customers till they are contented with our high-quality food.
Keys to Success
Almost half of the seafood we eat comes from farms. And seafood farming also known as
aquaculture is the fastest growing food production system in the world. But in our country
there’s a major concern in fisheries sector that is need of attention; the maintenance of
delicate balance between the requirements for increased production, which contribute to
food security, and the need to conserve and protect the resources for long-term
sustainability. The main reason for this are the following:
Other problem that this proposal will be facing is that people are becoming more health
conscious because seafood is considered as threat for the health.
Solution
Considering the problem in fisheries sector of our country, this proposal would help to
increase of the aquaculture productivity in San Juan. Beside people love to always eat a
fresh food in their table and aquaculture is one of the key of the business to always
maintain the customer satisfaction. Beside from this, having our own aquaculture will
solely provide its supply to the business.
To its health issue, we can’t constrain those people who are health conscious to eat
seafood but one way to solve this is to also serve foods that will not affect their health like
chopsuey, vegetable salad, pakbet, etc. Because seafood is the main dishes that the
restaurant will be offering but of course we have other dishes on the menu for the other
preferences of the customer.
