• Involved Mathematical Modelling of a Double Helical Planetary Gear System based ATBD
• Optimization of involute gear geometry was carried out to produce a compact design
• Parametric CAD model assembly was created using variables and expressions in CATIA v5
• Detail design of individual components was performed using Machine Design Handbooks
• Performed Finite Element Analysis to validate design calculations in ANSYS Mechanical
• Manufacturing process for components was developed and mock-up assembly was built
to depict a proof of concept
