BACKGROUND:
This company is an extended part of Deepawali Plastics, which started way back in 1981 at
Rakhial; Deepawali Plastics was involved in the manufacture of plastic sheets and bags.
Before Labh Polyfab, there were 8 factories starting from 1981 to 2016.
Due to paucity of funds the commencement of the factory became very difficult for the
owners. That’s why they had to depend on other sources. One of the sources on which they
depend was bank, so by keeping land as collateral security they took a loan of around 1 lakh
rupees to start the business. The owner had already worked in a factory so he was aware of
the mechanism of the factory. He also earned certain savings from the same. The owner had
to live away from family and relative to fulfil his dream. He used to sleep at railway quarter
in his initial stage. This was done to cut the cost of living to save money and he also skip a
meal for the same gradually the business progress and they rented a shed and they lived there
for quite a few time gradually the business took its place and purchased machine and hired
more workers. Further, more units were established and hence the 8th unit is Labh Polyfab at
Mahijada. As this was the extended and diversified version so the capital requirements were
so high. Initially the loan amount was 6.5 Crore and 3 Crore was invested by the directors.
Making it a total of 9.5 Crore. Labh polyfab was involved in the production of
polypropylene/HDPE laminated/unlaminated fabric and bags (with printed available). There
was vertical integration which was the new element incorporated by Labh Polyfab. The
vertical integration means laminated/unlaminated fabrics and bags, firstly they used to sell
only plastic but now they sell finished goods, raw material being the plastic. This company is
also engaged in exporting most of its products to different countries.

➢ The demand of the plastic packaging in present scenario is very high and it also has some
future prospectus. So, according to the demand, the supply and profit would also have
significant effect to the organisation.

Q. WHAT WERE THE PAST STORY AND STRUGGLE FACED BY THE

ORGANISATION?
➢ The first factory at Rakhial named Deepawali Plastics started with the mere capital of Rs.
80,000 in 1981. This factory took a lot of time in making its mark in the market.
➢ Then slowly this factory got extended at various places with different units. As Labh
Polyfab is the extended 8th unit of this organisation.
Q. WHAT WERE THE EXCEPTIONAL SUCCESS THIS ORAGANISATION

➢ As this organisation started in 2016, it has gained an exceptional success in the field of
exports.
➢ The products that this organisation manufactures gets exported to different continents
such as, supplying to North America, Europe, Middle East and SAARC Countries. In Europe,
countries like UK, Israel, Spain and Ukraine are also the places where the products of Labh
Polyfab get exported.
Q. Is this organisation environment friendly?
➢ All the wastes and the raw materials involved can be recycled and reused. There is a
pollution unit in the factory where the process of recycling is carried out.
➢ At this unit there is no burn of oil and all the wastes are heated at some temperature set at
the pit heater. Then those heated substances are being melted in the machine and then they
are manually cut for further use.
