1. INTRODUCTION
1.1 General
The AER.00-1-63 “Certificati delle Ispezioni Periodiche –Tutti i Tipi di Aeromobili”
is the Italian regulation concerning the Periodic Inspection Certificates applicable
to the military aircrafts. This tailored regulation has been developed to address
NATO AGS Air Segment peculiarity.
1.2 Overview
1.3 Aim
The aim of this Technical Publication (TP) is to prescribe the main requirements to
be met by the NATO AGS Air Segment Periodic Inspection Certificates and related
procedures and responsibilities for their preparation, approval, filling in and
storage. For newly acquired aircraft, pending the preparation and validation of the
inspection certificates, it is required the adoption of "Substitutive Declaration of the
Inspection Certificate".
1.4 Applicability
This regulation is applicable to the NATO AGS Air Segments that are registered in
the Italian Military Aircraft Registry under D.A.A.A. responsibility.
1.5 Validity
This regulation shall come into effect as of its approval date.
1.7 Definitions
Refer to AER(EP).0-0-2/RQ-4D, Annex VI for the general definitions.
b. Allow to keep the list timely updated, entering all the additions and changes
required by the updates of the applicable Technical Manual and/or SBs.
To this end, each inspection certificate shall contain one or more record sheets
of certificate updates, which shall contain the following:
- Date and location of the update;
- Identifier of the specific operation;
- Reference to the Technical Manual and/or SB;
- Identification and signature of the operator who updates the certificate.
c. Contain:
- the following statement: "This certificate is complete with all the additions and
changes mandate by the current Technical Manual and/or SBs".
- a dedicated field to be signed by the Maintenance Officer who, before starting
the inspection, has to perform the verification for the certificate update.
NOTE
The date of the declaration shall match the start date of the inspection,
except for activities performed outside of the base of the Unit where the Air
Segment is normally maintained.

d. Allow, at any time, to identify the maintainer who performed the maintenance
task. At this end, the maintainer, next to maintenance task listed in the
Moreover, it is also recommended that the NATO AGS Air Segments Periodic
Inspection Certificates indicates the operations required in a logical sequence, to
support the organization of the work. Therefore, it may differ from the order in
which they are listed in the Technical Manuals.
NOTE
At the end of the inspection, it shall be recorded on the specific logbook
according to the provisions of AER(EP).00-1-24/RQ-4D regulation.
