    Reserch is a systematic investigation to establish facts.

    Research can be defined as the search for knowledge or as any systematic investigation to
    establish facts. The primary purpose for applied research (as opposed to basic research) is
    discovering, interpreting, and the development of methods and systems for the advancement of
    human knowledge on a wide variety of scientific matters of our world and the universe.
    Research can use the scientific method, but need not do so.

    The term "research" has several meanings:

    Research is a systematic, formal rigorous and precise process employed to gain solutions to
    problems and/or to discover and interpret new facts and relationships. Research is the process
    of looking for a specific answer to a specific question in an organized objective reliable way.

    Research requires time, effort, and sometimes money to have the evidence you need to make a
    sound decision that's why many avoid it. The research you do and evidence you gathered will
    have impact on your future. Be adviced, considered the risks or consequences of making an
    important decision with inadequate evidence.

    Purposes of research

    The function of research is to either create or test a theory. Research is the instrument used to
    test whether a theory is good or not. It is the process by which data is gathered to generate a
    theory or used to test a theory. There are different ways of conducting research. However any
    method you use will be based on the systematic collection and analysis of data. The emphasis
    here is on the word systematic.

    This means you have to collect your data in an ordered manner, with a purpose in mind, and
    following certain rules about your mode of collection.

    The research proposal is simply a suggestion on the manner in which you will want your thesis
    to appear. For every college or academic writer wishing to compose a thesis, a research
    proposal and its accompanying research proposal format will always be needed. This is often a
    requirement of every department and there are various ways of writing a research proposal,
    developing a research proposal and submitting the research proposal. Normally, the academic
    authorities will want to use this research proposal to make sure that what you are about
    researching and writing on should be scholarly oriented.
    The main reason of writing a research proposal is to make sure that your writing or thesis is
    guided by an outline. In fact the research proposal is some sort of an outline to guide you
    through the research. Remember that research and writing in academia is an uncertain pursuit
    in which your mind and ideas will wonder and flicker into areas which may not be connected to
    your thesis or areas which should be added to your thesis. You will therefore always need thesis
    writing tips to take you through. If you have to either include or exclude into or out of your thesis,
    this can only be conveniently done through your research proposal.

    The purpose of research can be a complicated issue and varies across different scientific fields and
    disciplines. At the most basic level, science can be split, loosely, into two types, ‘pure research’ and
    ‘applied research’.
