INTAKE
Applications are invited from candidates wishing to pursue the following undergraduate and postgraduate degree programmes beginning in February 2020.
PLEASE NOTE:
1. Applicants above the age of 40 years may be admitted into diploma and undergraduate degree programmes through the Accredited Prior Learning selection criteria.
2. Foundation Mathematics will be offered to those without Mathematics at ‘O’ level intending to pursue programmes that require the subject as a prerequisite.
3. Programmes with inadequate successful applicants by the end of February 2020 may not commence.
4. We have campuses in Harare, Mutare, Bulawayo, Marondera, Kadoma, Zambia and Malawi.
5. The modes of learning are as follows:- Day, Evening, Weekend, Block release and Open Distance Learning.
6. For Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work successful applicants must ensure that they do prerequisite undergraduate courses in Sociology and Psychology if they had
not covered them in their undergraduate degree.

PROGRAMMES DURATION QUALIFICATIONS

FACULTY OF AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES


Bachelor of Science Agriculture 4 Years - At least two ‘A’ level passes in any Science subjects with at least five ‘O’ level subjects including Mathematics and English; OR
Honours Degree in Animal Science - At least a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English
Language and Mathematics; OR
- At least a Diploma in Veterinary Science from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English
Language and Mathematics
- Any other relevant qualification from a recognised institution
Bachelor of Science Agriculture 4 Years - At least two ‘A’ level passes in any Science subjects with at least five ‘O’ level subjects including Mathematics and English; OR
Honours Degree in Horticulture - At least a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English

BSc Honours Degree in Meat Science 4 Years - At least two ‘A’ level passes in any Science subjects with at least five ‘O’ level subjects including Mathematics and English; OR
and Dairy Technology - At least a Diploma in Agriculture from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English
Language and Mathematics; OR
- At least a Diploma in Veterinary Science from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English
Language and Mathematics
- Any other relevant qualification from a recognised institution

BSc Honours Degree in Integrated 4 Years - At least two ‘A’ level passes in any Science subjects with at least five ‘O’ level subjects including Mathematics and English; OR
Environmental Management - At least a Diploma in Environmental Management from a recognised institution after attaining a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including
English Language and Mathematics
Diploma in Agribusiness Management 2 Years - At least five O’ Levels passes including English Language and Mathematics.

Diploma in Environmental 2 Years - At least five O’ Levels passes including English Language and Mathematics. OR
Management - Certificate in Hospitality and Tourism, Certificate in Agriculture, Certificate in Surveying, Certificate in UrbanPlanning/Development or
any other qualifications deemed relevant by the Faculty.
Master of Science in Agribusiness 1.6 Years - BSc Hons in Agribusiness or Agricultural Economics from a recognised institution.
Systems Management and Development
Master of Science in Livestock Science 1.6 Years - BSc Hons in Animal Science from a recognised institution.

FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT AND ENTREPRENEURIAL SCIENCES


Diploma in Project Planning and 1 Year - Minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English
Management (DPPM) Language and Mathematics.
- A Certificate in Project Planning and Management and work experience is an added advantage.
Diploma in Business Management 2 Years - A minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English Language and Mathematics.
Executive Diploma in Management 1 Year - A relevant Higher National Diploma with a minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English Language and Mathematics, and
(EDM) - At least two years relevant work experience at senior managerial/ administrative or professional capacity.
- EDM feeds into the MBA programme.
Bachelor of Accounting Science 4 Years - Minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English Language and Mathematics and at least two ‘A’ level passes in Commercial subjects,
Honours Degree - OR A Diploma of a finance related qualification or an accountancy diploma e.g. CIS, ACCA or HND with at least 2 years relevant work
experience.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in 4 Years - Minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English Language and Mathematics; and
Human Resource Management - At least two ‘A’ level passes in Commercial subjects,
- OR be a holder of the Institute of Personnel Management of Zimbabwe (IPMZ) Diploma with at least 2 years relevant work experience.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in 4 Years - Minimum of five ‘O’ level passes including English Language and Mathematics; and
Information Systems - At least two ‘A’ level passes in relevant subjects, OR a relevant Diploma in Computer Science/ Computer Studies/ Information Technology and
at least 2 years relevant work experience.

Master of Science Degree in Strategic 1.6years - A relevant first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Marketing Management

Masters in Public Administration 1.6years - Any first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Degree - Applications should include references certifying the candidate’s ability and suitability to undertake the programme.
MastersDegree in Business 1.6Years - Any first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Administration (MBA) - Applications should include references certifying the candidate’s ability and suitability to undertake the programme.
Masters in Accountancy Degree 1.6 years • An Honours degree in Accounting with 2.2 degree class or better or a professional qualification recognised by the Public Accountants of
Zimbabwe plus at least 3 years relevant post-graduate experience.
Master of Science Degree in Strategic 1.6 years - A relevant undergraduate degree with a 2.2 pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised university or higher education institution.
Human Resource Management
Master of Science in Supply Chain 1.6 years - A relevant undergraduate degree with a 2.2 pass or equivalent qualification from a recognised university or higher education institution.

Childhood Development (Pre-Service.) least five ‘O’ Level passes including Mathematics and English Language and a relevant Diploma for those above 25 years.
Bachelor of Science Honours Degree in 4 years - At least five ‘O’ Level passes including English Language and at least two relevant ‘A’ level passesORa minimum of five ‘O’ Levels including
Women and Gender Studies English Language and any relevant diploma.
Bachelor of ScienceHonours Degree in 3 years - Two years post diploma in Midwifery qualification experience. Registered with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe asa midwife.
Clinical Midwifery - Minimum of 5 ‘O’ Level passes with a Grade C or better in English language, Mathematicss and a Science subject are a must.
Postgraduate Diploma in Social Work 2 years - A first degree in any Social Science programme or equivalent from a recognised institution of higher learning.
- Students will be required to go for fieldwork for 12 continuous weeks under professional supervision.
Master of Education in Early 1.6 years • At least a Bachelor’sDegree in Early Childhood Development from a recognised University
Childhood Development
Master of Science Degree in 1.6 years - A first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.
Development Studies (MDS) - Applications should include references certifying the candidate’s ability and suitability to undertake the programme.
Master OfSciencedegree inChild 1.6 years - A Bachelors’ degree in Economics, Law, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Development Studies from a
Sensitive Social Policies recognised University or any other relevant field.
- Employment in the government, Non-Governmental Organisations, or any other civil society organisation in the area of development child
rights and governance is an added advantage.
- At least two years of professional experience relevant to the programme.
Master of Science Degree in Sociology 1.6 years - A first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.

Master of Science Degree in Disaster 1.6 years - A first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning.

Master of Arts in Strategic 1.6 years - A first degree from a recognised institution of higher learning in a communication related discipline.
Communication - Applications should include references certifying the candidate’s ability and suitability to undertake the programme.

HOW TO APPLY
Application forms can be obtained from the University upon payment of a non-refundable application fee of RTGS$30 for Zimbabwean applicants and US$50 for International applicants. The application fee may be
reviewed from time to time. Alternatively applicationforms may be downloaded from the WUA website: www.wua.ac.zw and submitted with proof of payment of the application fee. The application should then be
submitted together with certified copies of a national ID card, birth certificate and educational certificates. The deadline for the submission of application forms is 20 December, 2019.
