Role:
 Implementing the quality plan and procedures
 Analyzing the paint & coating specification, manufacturer’s product data sheet, painting
crew approvals, equipment calibration certificates, safety standards and other paints /
coating related documents
 Formulating the painting procedures and ITP as per client specifications
 Verifying documents with the original ones and ensuring that all inspection / abrasive
blasting equipment are properly tagged and calibrated prior to commencement of the
painting activities
 Performing visual check on storage & area for verifying nil damage to painted items
 Supervising the climatic condition before painting like air temperature, dew point, relative
humidity, steel temperature, paint mixing, paint storage condition, batch certificate, paint
shelf life, etc.
 Driving the visual inspection of pipe, plate and structures for mechanical damages like sharp edges, lamination, welding
spatter, slag, etc.
 Handling periodic inspection & report making in colour banding of pipelines.
 Assuring utilization of correct type & size of equipment for blasting and coating activities (Dead Man Handle, Tip & Orifice)
 Inspecting the blasting area with Surface Comparator
 Tracking the blasting activities to comply with the required ISO, SSPC and NACE Standards
 Carrying out surface profile measurements with Testex Tape (Press-O-Film)
 Maintaining surface cleanliness prior to coating application
 Handling the internal & external field weld joint coating and final holiday testing
 Developing the inspection report for final inspection and acceptance of client
 Delivering inspection requests (RFI) to client for hold points

 Key role in improving the quality of the painting by 100% by taking 100% initiative.
 Distinction of completing projects within time & budget by taking 100% initiatives.
 Significantly handled the inspection instruments which thereby improved the quality of the process by 95% against 60%
previously.
 Instrumental role in taking several measures to identify deformities malfunctions or any type of abnormalities in parts /
components / products such as Painting Materials & Equipment, Inspection Materials & Instruments.
 Pivotal role in reducing the rejection rate by 5% and incidence of defects by 95%.
