o The teacher will ask students review questions:
What was our topic yesterday?
Grade 2
Who can still recall the different parts of our body?
o The teacher will show a picture of a human body and will
instruct the students to put an arrow to the different parts of
the body that the teacher will mention.
Grade 3
o The teacher would instruct the grade 3 students to give the
function of the following body parts labeled by the grade 2
students.
5. Motivation
o The teacher will show a picture of the different situation
where a student uses his senses while the teacher tells a
story of Ana and Ben to the class, then will ask the following
questions after:
What is being used by Ben in tasting that the apple is
sweet?
What is being used by Ana to see that the butterflies
are beautiful?
What was being used by the Ben to feel that the
water in the garden is cold?
What was being used by Ana to hear that the bird’s
voices are beautiful?
What was being used by Ana and Ben to smell that
the flowers in the garden smell sweet?
6. Unlocking of difficulties
o The teacher will present words to the class and will give their
meaning after.

B. Presentation
1. Discussion
o The teacher will leave an activity to Grade 2. They will be
given a piece of picture of human body and the teacher will
instruct them to label the 5 parts of the body that was being
mentioned in the selection. They will be guided by their
parents.
o The teacher will present a picture to the grade 3 students
and will ask a question.
What can you see in this picture?
What can you observe in this picture?
What are they?
Where is the nose used for?
Where is the eyes used for?
Where is the skin used for?
Where is the tongue used for?
Where is the ears used for?
o The teacher will give the grade 3 with another activity and
will ask them to analyze the picture given and connect the
picture of the particular sense and its function to the part of
the body where it can be found.
o The teacher will go to the grade 2 students and ask them
the following question:
Where can we found our sense of sight?
Where can we found our sense of smell?
Where can we found our sense of hearing?
Where can we found our sense of touch?
Where can we found our sense of taste?
2. Activity
o The teacher will group the students into 3 groups
(heterogeneous group composed of group 2 and three and
they would be given with the following tasks:
Grade 2: They will going to draw the sense organs
and label it with materials being given.
Grade 3: They will be given with situations to be cited
by a facilitator/ teacher together with a picture and
they will tell what senses are involved.
3. Generalization
o The teacher will present a body picture to the class. The
teacher will ask the grade 2 students to put an arrow to
point the location of the sense organ that is being
mentioned.
o The teacher will call another student from grade 3 to tell the
function of the sense organ that is being mentioned.
o The teacher will call another student from grade 3 tell to the
class where the following organ is being used.
4. Application

o The teacher will instruct students to recite the 5 sense
organs of the body in front of the class.

o The teacher will give the following tasks together with art
materials.
Think of the following things and make a creative
illustration (draw) out of it and share it to the class
after:
Your favorite thing to see.
Your favorite food to taste.
Your favorite smell to smell.

Your favorite sound to hear.
IV. Evaluation
Grade 2
o The teacher will present a picture of a different organ system
and the teacher will instruct them to draw a shape according
to the following function and parts (For Grade 2).
1. Star : Eyes/Seeing
2. Circle: Skin/Touching
3. Triangle : Nose/Smelling
4. Square : Ears/Hearing
5. Rectangle : Tongue/Tasting
Grade 3
o The teacher will present series of function of sense organ
and they will write N if it tells the function of Nose or Smell,
T if it is tongue or Tasting, E for Eyes or Sight, S for Skin or
Touch, and H for Ears of Hearing (For Grade 3).
1. Tasting food.
2. Watching birds in the sky.
3. Smelling flowers in the garden.
4. Feeling the cold water.
5. Listening to favorite music.
V. Assignment
o The teacher will instruct the students to ask their parents,
relatives, and other people on how to take care of the
following sense organs and they will share all the things
being shared to them to the class next meeting.
