What Is Early Marriage?
Early marriage is a marriage in which one or both couples are under the age of or
are attending high school. So, a marriage is called early marriage, if both or one of the
partners is under 18 years old (still a teenager).
Pro’s
No need to have kids yet.
When couples are younger, there is no need to rush things. They can focus on other
things, like occupation, house, saving and so on. There’s lot to do before a couples
decide to have children.
Easy to cummunicate each other
When a couples marry early, they will likely be parents to their children at their 30s.
Because, they will still be strong and able to be the young parents of their children
because in this age, their emotional still can be control easy so all thing in marriage like
KDRT can be avoided.
More time to understand each other.
When a couples decided to marry early, this will give them a chance to know each
other. It's better than if they just get stuck in an uncertain relationship and end up
breaking up, so early marriage is the right choice for those who seriously want to build a
family that will give the family a strong emotional bond.
Couples that marry early will be avoided from adultery.
early marriage is useful to avoid adultery. because everything they do if in

courtship will be considered haram, for example just hugging and many other things
that are not in accordance with religion. but it is different if they are married and legally
do what older people do.
Opportunity to Have More Children
For those of you who have the desire to get many offspring from marriage, then you
should indeed get married at a young age.
Married at a young age can provide more opportunities to conceive and give birth,
because the older a woman is, the higher the risk of pregnancy and childbirth later.
Fighting From Zero Together
Feeling struggling together at the beginning of a marriage will strengthen the

relationship of love and affection in the household with a partner.
Married young can be a way to feel the struggle of the household from zero together.
The Age of Children Not Adrift Too Far
By getting married at a young age, the possibility of having a child with an

unaffected age is far greater, so that the relationship with children can be more
than just parents and children, but like friends.

Marriage is a huge responsibility. When you are married, you have to face
problem like taking care of kid, house, job, taxes etc. This can be
overwhelming for young person to handle. This overwhelming flow of
responsibility of being an adult that just come endlessly, can be stressful toward
young couples that decided to married early. This can lead to some issues that
will disturb the relationship along the line.
Teenage life is over. Marriage come with a lot of responsibility. Which mean, you will
not be as free like in younger years. You might not be able to hang out with your friend
as often or pursue your passion and hobbies. If you try to force your teenage lifestyle
and neglect your parental role, it can led to the children feel abandoned and unwanted
while your partner can take offense because you don’t do your part of the job as a
married couple.
Young couples have a higher chance to divorce. Young people don’t have much
experience in life compare to older people. This lack of experience can lead to some bad
decision that can lead to divorce.
Early marriage can also affect health in a bad way, especially for women. Early
pregnancy are some of the biggest contributor to maternal and child mortality.
According to Indonesia Health and Demographic Survey (SDKI) in 2012, there’s 10%
teenager in the age of 15-19 has become a mother. In 2012, there’s 1.348.886 girls that
already married under the age of 18. According to 2014 population census, women
mortality happened in 305 out of 100.000 birth. If in a year there’s about 4,5-5 million
pregnant mom in Indonesia, every year there’s 15.250 mother that died in Indonesia
because of her pregnancy.
Attraction can fade rapidly when you get married young. Many young couplea find that
the attraction they had during their teen years begind to disappear when they reach their
early 20s. That means it is more challenging to find intimate moments together, which
can create problems with communication. If you’re trying not to hurt someone’s
feelings and you don’t want to be around them either, then there’s no real way to save
the relationship. What makes this disadvantage even more difficult is that it usually
impacts only one person, so the other takes the split badly.
CONCLUSION
Early marriage is a marriage where both partner are still in high school or under age
of 18. While there’s no denying that early marriage come with a lot of benefit like
avoiding adultery and so on, the negative impact that can be caused by marrying at an
early age can’t be simply underestimated.
With both sides argument already been discussed, we hope that the readers and
future generations can understand about this very important topics. If we do not think
and consider this problem in our mind, it can cause a lot of problems in the future.
