Activity Based Oral English

Syllabus for Grades 1 & 2


Introduction
This syllabus is specially designed for the Grade 1 and 2 primary teachers who handle Activity Based
(ERA) in these classes. It is designed basically to assist these teachers to introduce a few English voc
theme.
This training program has been prepared accordingly by the Department of English of the National Institute of E
themes from ERA in Grades 1 & 2 in two separate modules and is designed for 24 hours, to be conducted durin
course and 6 hours of the total time is set-aside for Enrichment Activities in the evening.
It is expected that by following this course, the Grade 1 and 2 teachers will gain the knowledge and
items and structures of English in the ERA lessons.
