1. 2 main types of change

There are three types of change that all managers have to be aware of: these are
Developmental Change; Transitional Change and Transformational Change.
 Firstly, there is Developmental Change; this occurs when you recognize a
need to make improvements to an existing situation.
 Secondly there is Transitional Change; this happens when you recognize the
need to implement a completely new course of action.

2. Considerations of a communication plan

1. Identify the purpose of your communication.
2. Identify your audience.
3. Plan and design your message.
4. Consider your resources.
5. Plan for obstacles and emergencies.
6. Strategize how you'll connect with the media and others who can help you
spread your message.

The detail of plan

Employee oriented communication will be take place from upper to lower level
by conferences and the printed documents, supervisors will be aware about the
proposal
In the message, reliability will be managed effectively
Natural but charismatic and properly designed communication will be done
Interaction by the managers will be very effective and chosen
Staff communication will be on the priority as they are the part of business and
will be required for the effective planning and budgeting
There will be appropriate incorporation between inside and outside interactions
The manner of the interaction will be an important fraction of the plan and
Feedback will be gathered whether staff have understood the information or not

3. External environment
External factors that affect an organization may be political, economic, social or
technological. The same internal factors that lead to an organization's success
inevitably characterize that organization's relationship to the external environment in
these broad areas.

An organization with a clear sense of mission, for example, can explain itself better to
the world and can align itself with the positive elements in each area.
Leaders who can learn and communicate what they've learned within their
organizations also can learn from the organization's external environment and
communicate successfully with it, resulting in an ongoing exchange of ideas to the
benefit of both the organization and its environment.

Amazon, a single company that is transforming the way goods are bought and sold all
over the world, has a reputation for communicating effectively with its suppliers and
customers. Amazon is a customer-driven idea machine that believes the customer is
always right. Determining what is right for each of its millions of customers and
creating and maintaining a fast-growing organization that responds effectively to what
each customer wants is Amazon's almost unprecedented triumph of 21st-century
organization.

Companies are also impacted by external changes throughout society, like the impact
of the #MeToo movement aimed at eliminating sexual harassment. Numerous firms
have seen high level executives leave the company after credible charges had been
leveled. Companies are also responding to gender equity issues by reviewing salaries
of male and female employees to make sure comparable jobs receive comparable pay

(P) political: The extent to which a government may influence the economy and
thereby impact organizations within a certain industry. This includes government
policy, political stability, and trade and tax policy.
(E) economic: How economic conditions shift supply and demand to directly affect a
company. This includes economic growth or decline, and changes in interest and
inflation rates.
(S) social: Changes in the sociocultural market environment that illustrate customer
needs and wants. This includes emerging trends, population analytics, and
demographics.
(T) technological: How innovation and development evolve a market or industry. This
includes automation, technology awareness and adoption rates, and new services or
products.
(E) environmental: The ecological and environmental aspects that affect a company’s
operations or consumer demand. This includes access to renewable resources, weather
or climate changes, and corporate responsibility initiatives.
(L) legal: The current legal allowances or requirements within countries or territories
in which an organization operates. This includes health and safety requirements, labor
laws, and consumer protection laws

4. Components of a change management

Readiness assessments.
Assessments are tools used by a change management team or project leader to
assess the organization's readiness to change. Readiness assessments can include
organizational assessments, culture and history assessments, employee
assessments, sponsor assessments and change assessments. Assess the Scope of
the Change:
How big is this change?
How many people are affected?
Is it a gradual or radical change?

Communication and communication planning.

Many managers assume that if they communicate clearly with their employees,
their job is done. However, there are many reasons why employees may not hear
or understand what their managers are saying the first time around. Effective
communicators carefully consider three components:
The audience
What is communicated
When it is communicated

Sponsor activities and sponsor roadmaps.

Business leaders and executives play a critical sponsor role in times of change.
The change management team must develop a plan for sponsor activities and help
key business leaders carry out these plans. Avoid Confusing the Notion of
Sponsorship with Support

Changing and manager training for change management.

Managers and supervisors play a key role in managing change. Ultimately, the
manager has more influence over an employee’s motivation to change than any
other person. Unfortunately, managers can be the most difficult group to convince
of the need for change and can be a source of resistance.

Training and employee training development.

Training is the cornerstone for building knowledge about the change and the
required skills to succeed in the future state. Ensuring impacted people receive
the training they need at the right time is a primary role of change management.
This means training should only be delivered after steps have been taken to
ensure impacted employees have the awareness of the need for change and desire
to support the change.
Resistance management
Resistance from employees and managers is normal and can be proactively
addressed. Persistent resistance, however, can threaten a project. The change
management team needs to identify, understand and help leaders manage
resistance throughout the organization. Resistance management is the processes
and tools used by managers and executives with the support of the change team to
manage employee resistance.

5. Potential barriers
 Lack of Employee Involvement
Providing relevant, sufficient resources to drive them towards change will be a
necessary thing to do, so that they are comfortable and ready to adjust to the new
development within the organization.
 Lack of Effective Communication Strategy
CEOs should stop making announcement and introduce strategies. Employees do
not need to know about the change only. They need to know how the change will
affect them as well as how they will adapt to the change.
 A Bad Culture Shift Planning
when focusing on critical thinking and objective analysis, it is important to
understand that taking the feelings of the employees into account is quite a great
way to overcome the barrier that usually hinder organizational changes.
 Unknown Current State
Trying to introduce and implement change without conducting an assessment and
understanding the current blueprint of the organization is a common habit by
many entities.
