PROJECT / CASE STUDY GUIDELINES

1. The student shall form a team of max. 5 persons per group


2. Select a particular company for industrial visit. The industry that students can
consider for a visit are:
a) Oil and Gas Industry
b) Fabrication/ construction industry
c) Automotive/ vehicle production industry
d) Power generation industry
e) Furniture manufacturing industry
f) Chemical/ pharmaceutical industry
g) Food processing industry
h) Manufacturing industry (Plastic/metal/component/ stamping)
i) Transportation industry (Rolling stock/ container/ LRT/ lift/cable
car/aircraft etc)
j) Airport/ seaport service industry
3. During the visit, the students must obtain the following information:
i. The profile of the company
ii. Implementation of Occupational Safety and Health in the industry
iii. Other relevant information related to Part A, B,C, D and E.

4. Provide evidence of a visit such as group photos/video with the person in


charge at the company.

5. Reminder: There are no assessment mark (ZERO) will be given to students


who fail to visit the company.

Report
1. Prepare your report with the details of all the tasks.
2. The report should include part A,B,C,D,E
3. The explanation should be supported with relevant technical
diagrams/drawings/ form
4. Provide suggestions on how to improve the Occupational Safety and Health at
the company.

Presentation:
1. Each student is required to present within 3 - 5 minutes. Total time for group
presentation between 15-25 minutes. Student are required to record the
presentation with utilizing the ICT Technology.

GUIDELINE FOR MINI PROJECT REPORT

INTRODUCTION
Company background, Nature of business, Address, Date of
visit, Evident of visit, PIC at company and etc.
Allocation mark on this section because the student will be
acknowledged the involvement in site visit.
A Design/identify the facilities for occupational safety and health Chapter 2-4
that should exist on the site.

(Describe the existing facilities with the relevant act/ regulation/


standards. The facilities related to prevent hazard, safety
equipment, PPE, maintenance program and communication
tool available for a selected company/ saf ety chec klists for the
w orkplace.)
B What type of hazards that may occur and how are they Chapter 5

(List the 5 types of hazard that may occur on site and their
preventive procedure, identification/evaluation, analysis of the
causes, consequence/hazards, remedies, prevention procedure,
tool/equipment required, etc)
