CJ : Some people come into our lives and quickly go. But some stay for awhile and live
footprints on our hearts. And that is imagination versus reality, IF I say so myself. Today,
marks the beginning of a new you and a new day to thank of. As SSCT-Del Carmen
Campus offers Recollection to the Juniors and Seniors Class of 2018.
To initially give you a simple definition of today’s event, Recollection is about reminiscing something from
the past that is remembered. It is also a tranquillity of mind, religious contemplation and the act of remembering something.
(Pause and look on the audience for 5 seconds.)
: Our warmest welcome to our Campus Director, Dr. Romy Jun A. Sunico.
: To the Directors of this College, we have for Academics, Dr. Joey G. Escauso.
: and for Technology, we have Mr. Elwin S. Argana.
: Heads of the different programs and offices
: To the ever passionate and hardworking Faculty and Staff of SSCT-DC Campus.
: To our Highly Acclaimed Guest Speakers
: To all the person behind this successful event, Students
: Ladies and Gentlemen, a blissful morning to everyone. And welcome to the Junior and
Senior High Recollection 2018 with the theme:
: “One Beginning…….. in a journey of Diverse Roads”.
: To begin with, everybody is requested to stand for a prayer to be led by
Mr. Juper P. Concha.
: And please do remain standing for the singing of the Philippine National Anthem by one
of the Faculty members, Engr. Shiena Jane B. Segales, conducting. Please rise.........

: At this time, may I call in, Mr. Jimbo Juanito B. Villamor for the opening remarks,
: Let us all welcome him with your sounding applause.
Welcome Address – Sir Jimbo.............................
CJ : Thank you very much Sir for a very notable opening remarks.
At this juncture, to present to you the House Rules and Guidelines, let us welcome,
Ms. Sheena C. Litang, a round of applause please.
House Rules – Ma’am Sheena.............................
And just to add on about the recollection, its importance and reminders and somehow a little bit of house rules
addition. Always put these words in your minds and hearts as you go along with this recollection.
First, TRUST THE PROCESS… it is important for you to NOT be the rule breaker but instead be the person that
God wants you to be.
Second, DO NOT EXPECT… too much expectation gives us discouragement and uncontenment. If you trust the
process and never expect too much, you’ll have a glorious experience as the days gone by.
Third, RESPECT... since we will be having our invited guests to speak on different topics and our very own
respectable teachers, showing respect at all times gives you a more meaningful experience, most especially when sessions
and talks begin.
And lastly, PRACTICE GRATITUDE… when someone offers you any simple help or labour do not forget to say
the “MAGIC WORDS ------ THANK YOU!!!”.

RECOLLECTION is common to different schools all over the world, may it be in private or public. Moreover,
RECOLLECTION is a sure way of building bonds between students, school administration staffs and instructors (IF IT IS A
JOINT RECOLLECTION). RECOLLECTION alone can change the student’s impression AND it goes with deeper affection,
appreciation and understanding. Thus, the RECOLLECTION aims to develop a sense of belongingness, to get to know the
new peers to the upperclassmen, get to know one another through interpersonal communication directed by the event’s
undertakings and to experience a brief background of their respective classmates and schoolmates and to be able to create an
environment of strong bond forged by harmony and cooperation.
