The s t r e s s e s a r e induced i n t h e sample
by c o m b i n i n g two d i s t i n c t t y p e s o f l o a d i n g s . One
o f t h e arms was p l a c e d under a f o u r - p o i n t b e n d i n g
moment. The second arm, due t o t h e r e s t r a i n i n g
a c t i o n o f t h e f i r s t arm, was l o a d e d b y
