    Lesson plan in MAPEH grade 8

    I. OBJECTIVES
    At the end of the lesson, the students should learn to:
    KNOWLEDGE
     Define what music genre is.
     Identify the different music genre

    PROCESS
     Determine the appropriate impression of music genre.
    UNDERSTANDING
     Relate the music genre in real life.
    PRODUCT
     Make an audio of different music genre.
     Create a reflection about music genre.

    II. SUBJECT MATTER

    c. Materials : laptop, projector, videos and speaker.
    III. LEARNING PROCEDURES
    A. ROUTINE
     Prayer
     Greetings
     Putting class in order
     Checking of attendance
     Review
    B. LESSON PROPER
     MOTIVATION
    The teacher will group the class to play a game called “Guess me How”
    The directions will be:

     The class will be group into two


     Each group will have a representative to lead the guessing game
     The box containing papers with written song will be given to the
    representative and he/she will pick one
     Then the representative will try to sing the song. But there will be a twist,
    the song will be sung, depending on the style required for the song (animal
    sounds)
     Then the group mates will try to guess the song
    KNOWLEDGE
     What is music genre?
     What is the different music genre
    PROCESS
    The teacher will group the class into two. Then they must follow the direction and be
    guided by a criteria that will be given to them.
    The activity will be “Tonepack Ganern”
    Directions:

     The teacher will play some music


     The two groups must determine what music genre is playing
     If they identify what music genre it is they must post in a manila paper
     The group has 3 seconds to identify what music genre it is.

    UNDERSTANDING
    The teacher will ask what they have learned about the lesson.
    PRODUCT
    Create a reflection about different music genre.

    DEFINE WHAT IS MUSIC GENRE.

    Define the following:
