1.a. i) DVD is a digital versatile disc or digital video disc, It is a disc capable of storing a significant
amount more data than a standard compact disc.

ii) USB is a non as universal serial Bus is the most popular connection used to connect a
computer to devices such as digital cameras, printer etc.

b. The F4 key used to toggle between the absolute and relative modes of reference cells.

c. View options available in power points are.

I. Normal view
II. Slide sorter view

d. Laser printer and hp printer are the best printers which can used for printing text graphics with
high speed but at low cost.

e. Access is better for managing data, it is easy to search.

f. The network places component of the windows operating systems displayed shortcuts to other
computers and shared resources in the computer network.

g. The tool used to finding synonyms and antonyms is known as thesaurus.

h. A hit is refers to search engine result for specific query because of a request from a web server
for a file.
I. To crop a selected picture interactively, click the crop icon on picture toolbar. A set crop marks
appears around the picture. When you place the cursor over an of the crop marks, the cursor
changes shape. Drag the mark to crop the picture.

2 a. Switch user is used to switch from one account to another account but won’t sign out from you
logged account and anybody can spy your open account without password, log off option is similar
to switch user option but it locks and sign out of the account.

b. EXT is extend mode for selecting text. It can be turned on using the F8 key and has different of
working allowing you to select words. OVR is overwrite mode normally if you put the cursor in
middle of text and start typing. The existing text will be pushed over. If overwrites on, meaning in
set mode is off, then what you type will replace what is there.

c. i) -Go to the top of a screen (CTRL) + (Page u).

ii) Reply a message means that you are answering to mail you have got. Forwarding a
message means that you are sending the message to someone else the way have got.

d. A computer virus is a malicious program that replicates by copying its self to another
program. The virus can spread by its self into other executable code or documents.
-A computer virus operate in two ways. The first kind, as soon as it lands on new computer,
begins replicate. The second type plays died until the try kick starts the malicious code.

-Antivirus provides multi layered defense system to stay away network from cyber from
known and zero day threats.
