‫بسم هللا الاحامن الاح م‬

1. ِ ‫ول ا ْر َاا ِي ُ م َ َْن ُل الْـ َحا ِ ** َع ْب ِد االل َ ـٰــ ِه ب َ ْد ِر انَ الْ َويَّا‬
ُ ‫ي َ ُق‬
ِ ِ
1. Yaquulu Ibraahimu najlu-l Hajji ** ‘Abdu-l Ilaahi
badrinaa-l wahhaji
1. Says Ibrahim the son of Al-Hajj Abdullahi, our
glowing moon.

َّ ‫هللا ُ َُّث الْـ َح ْم ِد ** ِ ـ ٰ ِلِل ِذي‬


2. ‫الط ْو ِل الْ َع ِظ ِ م امل َ ْْج ِد‬ ِ ‫ْس‬ِ ْ ‫ِم ْن ب َ ْع ِد ِِب‬
2. min ba‘adi bismi-llahi thumma-l hamdi ** lillahi
dhii-t tawli ‘l-‘Azeemi ‘l-Majdi
2. Having started with the Name of Allah and Praise,
All of it to Allah the Possessor of great Blessings and
Glory.

3. ‫ي َِصي َح ٌة ِم ِ ِٰن ا ََل ا ْخ َو ِاِن ** فَلْ ُت ْم ِس ُكو ْا َط ِاي َق َة ال ِتٰ َْج ِاِن‬
ِ ِ
3. Naseehatun min-nii ilaa ikhwaanee ** fal-tumsikuu
Tareeqat at-Tijaanee
3. An advice from me to my brothers, adhere to the
path of Tijaniyya.

4. ‫َط ِا َيق َم ْح ِض الْ َف ْض ِل َوال ٰ ِا ْض َو ِان ** ُأ ِٰس َس ِِبل ُّس نَّ ِة َوالْ ُف ْاقَ ِان‬
4. Tareeqa mah’di-l fadli wa-r ridwaani ** ussisa bi-s
sunnati wa-l furqaani.
4. A path of pure grace and satisfaction, founded and
established upon the path of the Prophet (SAWS)
and the Qur`an.

َّ ‫َو َال ِز ُمو ْا َال ِز َم ِذي‬


5. ‫الط ِا ِيق ** ب َِذا يُنَ ُال ال ٰ ِابْ ُح ِِبلتَّ ْح ِق ِيق‬
5. wa laazimuu laazima dhii-t tareeqi ** bi-dhaa
yunaalu-r rib’hu bi-t tah’qeeqi
5. Continuously say the Wird (Litanies) obligatory to
this tariqa, By this benefits are achieved without
doubt.

6. ‫الط ِا ِيق تَ ْاب َ ُح ** ا َال ا َذا ُك ْن َت د ََوا ًما تَ ْصلُ ُح‬


َّ ‫فَلَ ْس َت ِِف َأ ْخ ِذ‬
ِ ِ
6. fa-lasta fii akhzi-t tareeqi tar’bahu ** ilaa idhaa
kunta dawaaman tasluhu
6. You will not profit by taking this tariqa, Except
you continuously seek righteousness.

7. ‫وط ُه الْـ ُم َق َّا َر ْه ** ُم ََكبِدً ا أدَاب َ ُه الْـ ُم ْع َت َ ََب ْه‬ ُ ُ ‫ُم َ ِكٰ ًًل‬
َ ‫ُش‬
7. mukammilaan shuruutahu-l muqarrarah **
mukaabidan aadaabahu-l mu‘tabarah
7. Fulfilling all prescribed conditions, Exemplifying
its ethical code.

8. ‫ُم َع ِٰظ ًما ِ َلي ِ ِِْل َ َِجي َعا ** َال ِس يَّ َما الْـ َخ َّاص ُة ُك ْن ُم ِطي َعا‬
8. mu‘azimaan li-ah’lihi jamee‘aa ** laa siyyamaa
l-khassatu kun mutee-‘aa
8. Exalting all its people, particularly the special ones:
to them be obedient.
9. ‫ُشع َْت ِِف ا ِد ََٰك ِر الْ ِو ْر ِد ** فَ ًَل ِز ِم ْ َالد ََب قَ ْد َر الْـ َح ِٰد‬
َ َ ‫ا َذا‬
ِ
9. Idhaa shara‘ata fii-dikaari l-wir’di ** fa-laazimi
l-adaba qadra l-haddi
9. When you start to perform this wird, Always
discipline yourself as much as possible.

10. ‫تَأَد َّْب ِِف َظا ِي ٍا َو َِب ِط ِن ** ِب ِه يُ َا ََّّق الْـ َم ْا ُء ِللْ َم َوا ِط ِن‬
10. ta-addab fii zaahirin wa baatinin ** bihi yuraqqaa
l-mar’u lil-mawatini
10. Be of good manners openly and secretly, With it
does one climb unto high positions.

ِ ُ‫َوا ْس َت ْحضـِ َا َّن َش ْي َخ َك الْـ ُم َا ِ ِٰب ** َك َذ َاك َش ْي َخ ُه ِبد‬


11. ‫ون َريْ ِب‬
11. was-tah’diran shaikha’ka al-murabbii ** ka-dhaaka
shaikha’hu bi-duuni raybi
11. And picture in your mind, the Shaykh that
brought you up, likewise his Shaykh without doubt.

12. ‫َو َال ِز ُمو ْا الْـ ُحضُ َور َوال ُّس ُكو انَ ** َك َذ َاك َخلْ َو ًة تُ ِع ُني ِحينَا‬
12. wa laazimuu l-huduura wa s-sukuunaa **
ka-dhaaka khalwatan wa tu‘eenu heenaa
12. Always maintain concentration and calmness,
likewise seclusion helps in drawing near (to Allah).

َ ِ َ‫َو ْاطلُ ْب ُم َاِب ٰ ًيا َخب ًِريا ان‬


13. ‫ِصا ** ََك ِم َل ِع ْافَ ٍان ا َما ًما َصا ِل َحا‬
ِ
13. watlub murabbiyan khabeeran naasihaa **
kaamila ‘irfaanin imaaman saalihaa
13. Seek for a knowledgeable and experienced teacher
with sound advice, Complete in knowledge of Divine
Lord (and of course) a righteous leader.
14. ‫َم ِلٰ ْك ُه ي َ ْف َس َك فَ ًَل تُدَ ِرٰ ْا ** َو ُك ْن ََكَ ِ ٰي ٍت د ََوا ًما ُ ُْت ِ َْب‬
14. malik’hu nafsaka falaa tudabbir ** wa kun
ka-mayyitin dawaaman tukhbir
14. Submit yourself completely to him and don't
experiment (on your efforts), Be like a dead person
before its washer and you shall be informed.

15. ‫َو َال ُ َُتا ِل ْف ُه َولَ ْو َِب َن فَ َسا ** ُد َر ْأ ِي ِه فَ ُك ْن د ََوا ًما َذا ائْ ِت َسا‬
15. walaa tukhaalif’hu wa law baana fasaa.. ** ..du
ra-ayhi fakun dawaaman dhaa’tisaa
15. Don't oppose him even if it seems wrong (his
opinion), be always a follower.

16. ‫فَخ ََطأٌ ِلل َّي ْي ِ َأ ْق َو ُم َو َألْـ ** ي َ ُق ِم َن الْـ ُم ِاي ِد ِع ْندَ َم ْن َع َق ْل‬
16. Fakhatahun li-shaykhi aqwamu wa al.. ** ..yaku
mina l muridi ‘inda man ‘aqal
16. For the teacher’s mistake could be more upright
and proper, than student’s opinion among people of
intellect.

َ ‫َال تَلْ َت ِف ْت ِلغ ْ َِري ِه ِِف الْ َعالَ ِم ** َو ُك ْن َ َمَك لَ ْو ََك َن د‬


17. ‫ُون عَالَ ِم‬
17. La tal'tafit li-gayri fi l-‘aalami ** Wakun kamaa
law kaana duuna ‘aalami
17. Do not turn to other than him in the universe,
And be with him as if there is no universe.

18. ‫ول ُ َُّث َم ْو َال ُه الْ َع ِل‬


ِ ‫فَلَيْ َس ِللْـ ُم ِاي ِد غَ ْ ُري َذا الْ َو ِل ** َم ََ َّالا ُس‬
18. falaysa lil-mureedi gayru dhaa-l'walii **
ma‘a-rasuuli thumma mawlaahu-l ‘alii
18. For there is nothing for the student other than
this Saint (Shaykh Ahmad Tijani), Alongside with the
Prophet (SAWS) and surely his Lord, the Most High.

ُ ُ‫َما دَا َم غَ ْ ُري ُ ُْه ِب َقلْ ٍب َال يُنَ ْال ** َم ْع ِافَ ُة الْـ َم ْو ََل َأق‬
19. ‫ول ِِب ْرِ َت ْال‬
19. Maa daama gayruhum bi-qalbin la yunaal **
Ma'arifatu-l mawla aquulu bi-rtijaal

20. ‫َو ُك ْن َم ََ ال َّي ْي ِ د ََوا ًما تَ ْاب َ ُح ** َو ُك ْن ُم ِح ًّبا َوا ِمقًا فَ ُت ْف ِل ُح‬
20. Wakun ma‘a-sh shaykhi dawaaman tarbahu **
Wa-kun muhibban waamiqan fatuflihu
20. Be at all times with the Shaykh to profit, Be at all
times tenderly in love to prosper.

21. ‫ِب َق ْد ِر َما ُ ُِت ُّب ُه تَنَ ُال ** ا ْمدَ ا َد ُه فَالْ َق ْو ُم َي َذا قَالُو ْا‬
ِ
21. Biqa'dri maa tuhibuhu tanaalu ** imdaaduhu
fal-qawmu aadhaa qaaluu
21. In proportion to your love for him you receive,
His spiritual providence, the people (Sufis) have said
this repeatedly.

22. ‫َأيْ ِف ْق َط ِاي ًفا َتَ ِ ًِلا ِِف َطلَ ِب ** ِرضَ ا ُه َِب ِد ْر ا ْن َأ َش َار ت ُِص ِب‬
ِ
22. Anfiq tareefan taalidan fii talabi ** ridaahu baadir
in-ashaara tusibi
22. Spend out of your new and old possessions in
seeking, His satisfaction, and be prompt to his
signals, then you will get it right.

23. ‫َو َأ ْر ِض َش ْي َخ َك َولَ ْو َأ ْر ََك ََك ** لَ ِكن َّ ُه لِلْ َخ ْ ِري قَ ْد َيدَ َاَك‬
23. wa-ardi shaykhaka walaw abkaakaa ** lakinnahu
lil-khayri qad hadaakaa
23. And satisfy your Shaykh even if he makes you
weep, Because it is to goodness, he guides you.

ِ َ‫َو ْاح ِا ْص عَ َىل ْ َال ْوق‬


24. ‫ات َأ َّي ِح ْا ِص ** َوا ْح َذ ْر ِم َن ْان تُ ْب َىل ب َ ًَل َء‬
‫ي َ ْق ِص‬
24. wa'hris ‘alaa-l awqaati ayya hirsi ** wa'h-dhar
mina-n tublaa balaaha naqsi
24. Be covetous of your time with such greed, Be
warned you shall be afflicted with test of decline.

25. ‫ا َذا َر َأيْ َت َم ْظه ََا الْـ َج َم ِال ** َال تَ ْط َغ َو ْار َض َم ْظه ََا الْـ َْج ًَل ِل‬
ِ
25. Idha ra'ayta mas'hara-l jamaali ** laa tatgaa
war’da maz'hara-l jalaali
25. When you see manifestation of opulence, Do not
exceed limits, be content with the manifestation of
dispossession.

26. ‫ُك َذا َأ ْم ُا االلَ ـٰــ ِه ي ُْسدَ ى ** قَ ْد َج َّل َأ ْن يُ ْع َت َب ِفميَا َأ ْسدَ ى‬


ُّ ُ َ‫ف‬
ِ
26 Fakullu dhaa amru-l-Ilaahi yusdaa ** qad jalla an
yu‘utaba fiimaa asdaa
26. For all of these (manifestations) are affairs of
Allah's unfolding, Glorious is He to be blamed for
what He Destines.

27. ‫َال تَ َتأَلَّـ َم ْن ا َذا َر َأيْ َتا ** ا َذاي َ َة الْـ َخلْ ِق ِ َِلا ُخ ِل ْقتَا‬
ِ ِ
27 La tata-allaman idhaa ra'aytaa ** idhaayata-l khalqi
li-dhaa khuliqtaa
27. Do not be anguished when you are afflicted with
mischiefs of His creations, for that you were created.
(i.e. to meet such realities of life).

28. ‫َأ ْج َاى ْ َال َذى ِم ْْنُ ْم ِلئَ ًَّل تَ ْا َكنَا ** ال َ ْ ِْي ُم ب َ ْل ِل ًْللَ ـــ ِه فَ ْار َكنَا‬
ِ ِ
28 Ajraa-l adhaa min-hum li-alaa tar’kanaa **
Ilay'himu bal lil-Illaahi far’kanaa
28. Mischief is made to flow from them so that you
don't rely, On them - but on Allah should you solely
rely.

ُ ُ ‫ُش ْور ** فَ ْاص ِ َْب َس َيا ِت ْي َك ايْ ِف َاا ٌ َو‬


29. ‫ُ ْور‬ َ ‫َوا ْن ب ُ ِل‬
ُ ُ ‫يت ِِب ْش ِتدَ ا ٍد َو‬
ِ
29 Wa-in buliita bi-shtidaadin wa shuruur **
Fasbir sayaatiika n'firaajun wa suruur
29. When tested with difficulties and afflictions,
Persevere patiently, for thereafter shall come relief
and happiness.

ُّ ُ ‫ُك لَ ْي ٍل ب َ ْعدَ ُه نَ َ ُار ** َو‬


ٍ ْ ‫ُك ُعـ‬
30. ‫ْس ب َ ْعدَ ُه ي َ َس ُار‬ ُّ ُ َ‫ف‬
30 Fakullu laylin ba‘adahu nahaaru ** wa kullu ‘usrin
ba‘adahu yasaaru
30. For after every night comes the day, And after
every hardship comes the ease.

31. ‫ْس ِان ** َ َمَك َأ ََت َع ْن َأ ْ َْحدَ الْ َع ْد انَ ِن‬


َ ْ ‫ْس ب َ ْعدَ ُه يُـ‬ ُّ ُ ‫ب َ ْل‬
ٍ ْ ‫ُك ُعـ‬
31 Bal kullu ‘usrin ba‘adahu yus'raani ** Kamaa ataa
‘an Ahmad al-‘adnaani
31. Rather, after every hardship comes double ease,
As related from Ahmad (SAWS) the Legendary
Adnan.

ُّ ُ ‫ون َرا ِض َيا ** ُح ْ َمك االل َ ـٰــ ِه‬


32. ‫ُك َو ْق ٍت َِب ِق َيا‬ ُ ‫ا َذا عَ ِل ْم َت َذا تَ ُك‬
ِ ِ
32 Idhaa ‘alimta dha takunu raadiyaa ** Hukma-l
Ilaahi kullu waqtin baaqiyaa
32. If you know that, then you shall always be
satisfied, (With) Allah's decision which at all times
must prevail.

33. ‫ا َذا َطلَ ْب َت َم ْطلَ ًبا عَ ِد ْمتَ ُه ** فَضَ ْ َري ُه ي َ ْد ِري َو َما د ََريْ َت ُه‬
ِ
33. Idhaa talabta matlaban ‘adimtahu ** Fadayrahu
yadrii wa maa daraytahu
33. Whenever you seek a request that is lacking, The
dangers of it He knows and you don't.

34. ‫ي َ ْدفَ َُ َما يَضُ ُّـا لُ ْط ًفا ِمنْ ُه َال ** تََّتَّ ِ َم ْن الَـــهَنَا فَتَخ ُْذ َال‬
ِ
34. Yadfa‘u maa yadurru lutfan min’hu laa **
Tattahiman Illaahanaa fatukh'dhulaa
34. He deters what is dangerous (from you) out of
His tenderness, therefore don't accuse our Lord
otherwise you shall be abandoned.

35. ‫لَ ْو ي َ ْع َ َُل ْاالن ْ َس ُان َما َّالا ْ َْح ُن ** يَلْ َقى اليـُّ ُا َور ضَ ا ِح ًَك ان ْ َس ُان‬
ِ ِ
35 Law ya‘lamu-l insaanu maa Ar-Rahmaanu **
Yal'qaab l'shurura dahikan insaanu
35. Were man to know Who the Merciful (Allah) is,
He would have been facing afflictions, a smiling man.

ِ ‫َال تَ ْطلُ ِب الْ ِع َّز َ َِلى الْـ َخلْ ِق ب ًَِل ** تَ َع ُّز ٍز ِع ْندَ الْـ َم ِل‬
36. ‫يك َال َو َال‬
36 La tat'lubu l'hisa lada l'khalqi bilaa**
Tahasusin hinda l'moliiki laa walaa
36. Don't seek exaltation from the creation without,
Being exalted by the Creator, no, never.

37. ‫َال تَ ْف َا َح ْن ِبأَيْ ُع ٍم ُأيْ ِع ْم َتا ** َوافْ َا ْح ِب َم ْن َأيْ َع َم ا ْن َع ِقلْ َتا‬


ِ
37 La taf'rahan bi an'humin un'himta**
Waf'rah biman an'hama in aqal'ta
37. Don't be glad with favors you are bestowed with,
Be glad with the Bestower (Allah) if you reason.
38. ‫ُك َز َم ْن‬ ٰ ِ ُ ‫ُون َم ْن ** َأ ْسدَ ى فَ َذ َاك الْ َب ِاق ِِف‬ َ ‫ول د‬ ُ ‫ُك ِي ْع َم ٍة تَ ُز‬
ُّ ُ َ‫ف‬
38 Fakulu nihmati tazulu duna man**
As'da fadhaaka l'baaqi fii kuli zaman
38. For every favor will vanish except the Bestower,
For that is the Everlasting all time.
39. ‫َال َ ُْت ِق َا َّن ُم ْس ِل ًما َال تَ ْذ ُك َاا ** َع ْي َب ا ْم ِائٍ َوالْ َع ْي ُب ِمنْ َك قَ ْد يُ َاى‬
39 La tah'qiran musliman la tadh'kuraa**
Aiba m'rihin wa l'haibu minka qad yuraa
39. Don't despise any Muslim and don't mention,
people's faults, for the faults from you are likely to be
seen.

40. ‫فَ ُا َّب ِذي ِط ْم َاْي ِن َأ ْغ َ ََب َولَ ْو ** َأ ْق َس َم ِِبلْـ َم ْو ََل َأرَ َّا قَ ْد َر َو ْو ْا‬
40 Farub'ba dhii tamray'ni ag'bara walaw**
Aq'samo bil'mawla ab'bara qad rawaw
40. Perhaps if the one in two tatters of dusty
garments is to invoke by the Master (Allah), he will
be honored as has been reported (Hadith).
41. ‫ُض عَ َىل يَدَ يْ ِه َد ْأ ًِب فَا ْغ َت ِف ْا‬ َّ ُ َ‫َال ت‬
ٌّ ُ ** ‫ـُض َّن ُم ْس ِل ًما َولَ ْو َظهَا‬
41 La taduran'na musliman walaw sohar**
Dur'ru ala yadaihi daaban fa'agtafir
41. Don't harm a Muslim even if it appears that, he
persistently harms, be forgiving.

ِ ‫ـُض َأ ِِخ ِع َبا َد‬


42. ‫هللا‬ ِ ‫فَا َّن َذا الْـ َخلْ َق ِع َبا ُد‬
ْ ُ َ‫هللا ** فَ ًَل ت‬
ِ
42 Fain'na dha l'khal'qa hibaadu l'lahi**
Fala tadur akhii hibaada l'lahi
42. For indeed, all these creations are Allah's servants,
Do not harm, oh my brothers the servants of Allah.

ُّ ُ َ ‫َول َ ْس َت تَ ْا ََض َم ْن ي‬
43. ‫ـُض َع ْبدَ ََك ** َوا ْن َأ َسا فَات َّ ِق َ َّني َررَّ ََك‬
ِ
43 Walasta qar'daa man yadur'ru hab'dakaa**
Wa in asaa faa'taqiyan'na rab'bakaa
43. For you will not be pleased with him who
ill-treats your servant, Even if he does wrong, fear
therefore your Lord.

44. ‫َو َال ِز ِم الْـ ُح ْز َن َو ِذ ْك َا الْـ َم ْو ِت ** َال تَن ْ َس ُه َك َذا ُس َؤا َل الْـ َم ْي ِت‬
44 Walaaszimu l'huzni wadhikra l'mawti**
La tan'sahu kadha suw'alu l'mayti
44. Persist in sadness and the thoughts of death,
Don't forget also the questioning of the dead (in the
grave).

45. ‫ِشعَ ِة ْااللَ ـٰــ ِه ُم ْح ِكَا‬


ْ ِ ‫َال ب ُ َّد َأ ْن تُ َق ِٰد َم التَّ َعل ُّ َما ** فَ ُك ْن ِلـ‬
ِ
45 La bud'da an tuqadima l'tahal'lumaa**
Fakun lishir'hati l'hilahi muh'kaa
45. It is inevitable to first and foremost seek
knowledge And you must study the laws of Allah
(Shari`at) properly.
46. ‫فَالْ ِع ْ َُل ُ ُْع ِاي ي َُو ا َما ُم الْ َع َم ِل ** َ َمَك َأ ََت َع ْن َط َه خ ْ َِري ُّالا ُس ِل‬
ِ
46 Fal'hilmu ham'ri huwa imaamu l'hamali**
Kamaa ataa han ta'ha khairi r'rusuli
46. I swear by my life that knowledge is the leader of
actions, As was transmitted from Ta-Ha (SAWS), the
best of all messengers.

ْ ِ ‫اِل ** َأ َّولُـهَا ِع ْافَ ُان َر ٍ ٰب َم‬


47. ‫اِل‬ ْ ِ ‫َح ٰ ِص ْل عُلُو ًما َأ ْرب َ ًعا َذا ال َّس‬
47 has'sil huluuman ar'bahan dha s'salik**
Aw'waluha hir'faanu rab'bi maalik
47. Obtain knowledge of four subjects, oh you
traveler, The first of it is the knowledge of the Lord
Possessor.

ِ ‫َوالث َّ ِان َأ ْن تَ ْع ِا َف َما يُ َعل َّ ُق ** عَ َىل الْ ِع َباد‬


48. ‫َات فَ َذا َ َُتقُّ ُق‬
48 Wal'thanni an tah'rifa maa yuhal'laqu**
Ala l ' hibaadaati fadha tahaq'qaqu
48. And secondly is to know all that is involved, In
the worship of Allah, for that, you will be certain.

49. ِٰ َّ‫ََث ِل ُُثَا ِع ْافَ ُان َح ِال النَّ ْف ِس ** ِم ْن غَ ْد ِر َيا َو َك ْي ِد َيا َواِل‬
49 thaalithuha hir'faanu aali n'nafsi**
Min gad'riha wa kaydiha wa d'dasi
49. And thirdly is to learn the different states of soul,
From its treachery, deceptions and plots.
50. ‫ِللنَّ ْف ِس َع ْي ٌب ِللْ ُف َؤا ِد َع ْي ُب ** ِل ُّلاوحِ َع ْي ٌب لَيْ َس ِفي ِه َريْ ُب‬
50 Lil'n'nafsi haibun lil'fuw'adi haibun**
Lil'ruuhi haibun laysa fihi raybun
50. For the soul has its fault, and Heart its fault, And
the spirit it’s Fault, in these there is no doubt.

ُ ‫اِل ** فَاي َّ ُه الْ َب‬


ِٰ ُ ‫اب ِل‬
ْ ِ ‫ُك َس‬
51. ‫اِل‬ ْ ِ ‫فَ ْ َالد ََب ْ َالد ََب َ ا َذا ال َّس‬
ِ
51 Fal'adba l'adaba yah dha l'salik**
Fainahu l'baabu likuli saalik
51. And the seeking of knowledge of good conduct
on you disciple (is the fourth) For indeed, it is the
door for every disciple.
52. ِ َ ُ‫َولْ َت ُك خ َِاش ًعا َأخَا تَ َواضُ َ ِ ** فَلَ ْس َت ِِبلْ َو ِضيَ ِ ِِف التَّ َخاض‬
52 Wal'taku khashi'han akha tawaduhi**
Falas'ta bil'wadihi fii l'takhaduhi
52. Be God fearing, a man of humility, You will not
by humbleness be in abasement.

53. ‫فَالْ ِع ْ َُل َوالْ ِغ ََن َو ِخ ْص ٌب قَ ْد َأتَ ْت ** َو َح َا ََك ُت الْـ َخ ْف ِض ِف ِْي َّن َر َس ْت‬
53 Fal'hilmu wal'ginaa wa khisbun qad atat**
Wa arakaatu l'khaf'di fiihin'na rasat
53. Ilm (knowledge), Gina (wealth), Khisbun
(fertility), are words that came (in pronunciation),
With low pitched vowels established in them.
54. ‫َوالْـ َجهْ ُل َوالْ َف ْق ُا َو َج ْد ٌب قَ ْد َأتَ ْت ** َو َح َا ََك ُت َّالافَْ ِ ِف ِْي َّن َر َس ْت‬

54. Jahlu (ignorance), Faqru (poverty), Jadbu


(infertility) are words that come, With high pitched
vowels established in them.

55. ‫**رائِ َق ٌة فَلْ َت ْد ِر َما ُألْهِ ْم َتا‬


َ ‫فَ ِذي ِا َش َار ٌة ِا َذا َع َقلْ َتا‬
55 Fadhiy ishaaratun idha haqal'ta**
Raahiwqatun fal'tad'rimaa ul'himta
55. These are signs if you reason clearly, recognize
what you have been inspired with.

َ ْ ‫َال ي َ ْس ُك ُن ال َّس ْي ُل عَ َىل ا َل ْج َب ِال ** َو َال عَ َىل ا َل‬


56. ‫ْش ِار ِِف تَ ْ َم ِال‬
56 La yes'kunu l,'sailu ala l'ajbaalu**
Wala ala l'ash'jaari fii tah'maali
56. Not on mountains do flood settle, Nor on trees in
disregarding (their heights).

57. ‫َال تَ ْا َض َع ْن ي َ ْف ِس َك َال تَ ْا ُ َو َال ** َ ُْت َش ِس َوى الْـ َم ْو ََل ِس َوا ُه َأ ْ ِْ ًَل‬
57 La tar'da an naf'sika la tar'ja wala**
Takh'sha siwaa l'mawla siwaahu u'umilaa
57. Never be satisfied about yourself, nor hope or
Fear other than Allah, besides Him neglect.

58. ‫َال تَ َت َك َّ َْب َ ا َأ ِِخ َال َ ُْت ُسدَ ا ** َوال تُ َاا ِء ب َ ْل الَـــه ََك ا ْق ِصدَ ا‬
ِ
58 La tatak'kabara yah akhi ka tsh'sudaa**
Wala turaahi bal ilahaka q'sudaa
58. Never be arrogant oh my brother or be jealous,
Nor do eye-service, but to your Lord heed.

59. ‫َو ْال ِك ْ َُب ا َّما ِب ُعلُو ٍم َأ ْو ن َ َس ْب ** َأ ْو ُز َم ٍا َأ ْو ِف ْع ِل َطاعَ ٍة ن َ َي ْب‬


ِ
59 Wal'kibru im'ma bihuluumin aw nasab**
Aw zumrin aw fihli taahati nashaba
59. And arrogance arises either because of knowledge,
or lineage, Or companionship, or getting involved in
acts of devotions, and wealth.
ُّ َ ‫َم ْع ِص َي ٌة ت ُِور ُث ُذ َّال خ ْ َُري ** َو َطاعَ ٌة تُو ِر ُث ِك ْ ًَبا‬
60. ‫ُش‬
60 Ma'asiyatun tuurithu dhul'la khairu**
Wa taahatun tuurithu kibran shar'ru
60. A disobedience that brings about humiliation is
better, While an act of devotion that Results in
arrogance is worst.

ِ َ‫فَلَ ْس َت َ ُْتلُ ُص ِم َن ْالف‬


61. ‫ات ** ا َّال ب َِي ْي ٍ عَا ِر ٍف ت َُو ِات‬
ِ
61 Falas'ta takh'su mina l'aafati**
Il'la bisheikhi haarifin tuwaati
61. You will never be free from blemish, Except with
a Shaykh of divine knowledge that is constantly
consulted.

62. ِ ‫فَلْ ُت ْم ِس َك ْن ِب ِع َص ِم الْـ َم َيا ِي ِ ** ا َذا َأ َرد َْت ي َ ْي َل ِع ٰ ٍز َشا ِم‬

62 Fal'tamsikan bihisomi l'mashaai'khu**
Idha arad'ta nailu ihz'zin shaamikhu
62. Adhere strongly to the protection of Shaykh's (of
divine knowledge), If you want to attain a lofty and
exalted height.

63. ‫خ ْ َُري ُش ُيوخِ اِلَّ ْي ِا ِِبال ْط ًَل ِق ** ا َما ُمنَا ال ِتٰ َْج ِان ُذو ا َلخ ًَْل ِق‬
ِ ِ
63 Khairu shuyukhi l'dah'ri bil'it'laaqi**
Imaamunaa tidjani dhu l'akhlaaqi
63. The most excellent Shaykh of all time in any
respect, Is our leader Al-Tijani, the possessor of great
virtues.
64. ‫ُك عَ ِار ٍف َو ُأ ُّ ** لَـه ُْم َويَن ْ ُبو ٌع َوي َْو َ َْش ُس‬
ٰ ِ ُ ُ‫رَ ْا َزخ‬
64 Bar'zakhu kul'li haarifin wa uuh's'su**
Lahum wayan'buhun wahuwa shamsu
64. The intermediary and foundation of every scholar
of divine knowledge, he is to them the flowing
fountain and the sun.

65. ِ‫الط ْا ِق ِِب ْال ْ ََجاعِ ** َط ِاي ُق ُه َأيْضً ا ب ًَِل ِن َزاع‬ ٰ ِ ُ ‫َوخ ْ َُري‬
ُّ ‫ُك‬
ِ
65 Wakhairu kul'li l'tur'qi bil'ijmaahi**
Tariiquhu aydan bila tazahin
65 And the best path (of Sufi order) by consensus, is
again his path without any dispute.

66. ‫ْس ِب َقائِ ٍل ِب ِه ِِف ْ ُال ْخ َاى‬ ُ ‫َوي َ ْس َت ِح‬


ْ ِ ‫يل َ َْج ُعهَا ِبأُ ْخ َاى ** َأ ْخـ‬
66 Wa yastahiilu jamhuha bi ukh'raa**
Akh'sir biqaa'ilin bihi fii l'ukh'raa
66. And, it is impossible to combine its practice with
any other (path of Sufi order), he is ruined (the one
who combined it) alongside with the speaker of such
(combination) on the Day of Judgment.

ُ ُ‫َك َذ َب َوافْ َ ََتى عَ َىل االل َ ـٰــ ِه َج ْل ** ا ِ ِٰن َأق‬


67. ‫ول ا َّن َذا الْ ِو ْر َد َ ََب ْل‬
ِ ِ ِ
67 kadhaba wa'ftara ala llahi ajal**
In'ni aquulu in'na dhal'wirda bajal
67. He has lied and fabricated against the Lord
Majestic, I say (with emphasis), that this Wird (of
Tijaniyya) is great.
ِ ‫َو َال ِز َم ْن َأ ْذ ََك َر َي َذا الْ ِو ْر ِد ** ا ًذا ل َ َع ْم ِاي ِللْ ُو ُص‬
68. ‫ول تَ ْ ِدي‬
ِ
68 Walaziman adh'kaara aa'dha l'wirdi**
Idhan lahamri lil'wusuuli tah'di
68. Adhere to the litanies of this tariqa, Then, I swear
by my life, onto Reality have you been led.

69. ‫ـُضعِ َص ًَل َة الْ َفاتِ ْح ** َك َذا َك اللَّهُ َّم عَلَ ْي َك فَا ِت ْح‬
ُّ َ َّ‫ِح ْز َب الت‬
69 Izbu l'tadar'ruhi salatu l'faatihi**
Kadhaaka laahum'ma alaika faatihi
69. (Among these litanies are:) Hizbul Tadara`i,
Salatul Fatih, also Allahumma Alaika Fatih.
70. ‫الط ِا ِيق ا ْن َأ انَ لُو ْا‬
َّ ‫َوغَ ْ َري ِذي ِم َّما َح َوى ال ٰ ِا َج ُال ** ِر َج ُال ِذي‬
ِ
70 Wa gairu dhi mim'ma awaa l'rijaalu**
Rijaalu dhi l'tariiqi in anaalu
70. And such other (litanies) possessed by the great
men, The People of this Tariqa, when you get their
permissions.

َّ ِ ‫لَ ِك َّن‬
71. ‫ُ ُ ُْه ِ َِب ٍٰد قَ ْد يُنَ ْال ** َال ِِبلْـه َُويْنَا َو ُمدَ َارا ِة ال ٰ ِا َج ْال‬
71 lakin'na sir'rahum bijid'di qad yunaalu**
La bilhuwainaa wa mudaarati r'rijaalu
71. However, it is with great efforts that their secrets
are obtained, Not by laxity or by playing on the
intelligence of men.

72. ‫ب َ ْل ِِبلْ ِ َِتا ِم َما َأتَو ْا لُ ُزو َما ** َو ِِب ِت ٰ َباعِ قَ ْو ِلـه ِْم َملْ ُزو َما‬
72 Bal bil'tizaami maa ataw luzuumaa**
Wabi'it'tibaahi qawlihim mal'zuumaa
72. But rather by adhering to what they give firmly,
And by following their instructions always.

73. ‫َال َ ُْت َ ََت ْن َ َُتاد َُث ا َل ْق َا ِان ** َع ِن الْـ ُْجلُو ِ ِع ْندَ ُه َ ا فَ ِان‬
73 La takh'taran tahaadutha l'aqraani**
Ani l'juluusi hindahu yah faani
73. Don't prefer colleagues conversations, To sitting
with him (your Shaykh), oh the annihilated one.

74. ‫ْس َال يُنَ ُال ِع ْندَ اال ْ َج ْار‬ َ ْ ‫ا ًذا فَ ًَل تَ ْط َم َْ ِبن َ ْي ِل ا َل‬
ُّ ٰ ِ ‫ُ ْار ** فَـال‬
ِ ِ
74 idhan fala tat'tmah binaili l'as'raar**
Fal'sir'ru la yunaalu hinda l'ij'haar
74. If so, don't be desirous of obtaining secrets, For
secrets are not obtainable in public.

75. ‫لَ ِك ْن ا َذا َال َز ْمتَ ُه ِِف الْغَا ِل ِب ** فَ َق ْد تَ ُف ُوز ِمنْ ُه ِِبلْـ َم َطا ِل ِب‬
ِ
75 lakin ldha la zam'tahu fii l' gaalibi**
Faqad tafuuzu min'hu bil'mataalibi
75. But if you rather stick to him (your Shaykh)
always, You could succeed from him in obtaining
your requirement.

76. ‫َوقَ ْد تَ ُف ُوز ِم ْن ُه ِِبلْ َع ْد َوى َو ِِه ** ََث ِب َت ٌة ِع ْندَ ال ٰ ِا َج ِال ايْت َ ِب ِه‬
76 Waqad tafuuzu min'hu bli'hadwa wahiy'**
Thabitatun hinda l'rijaali n'tabihi
76. You could also gain from him by infection, and
this, Has been confirmed by the men (of knowledge),
so watch out.

77. ‫َم ْن لَ ْم يَنَ ْل َم ْع ِافَ َة َّالا ْ َْح ِان ** َأ ْ َُع ُار ُه ضَ ا َع ْت َمدَ ى ْ َال ْز َم ِان‬
77 Man lam yanaalu ma'arifata r'rahmaani**
Ahmaaruhu daahat madaa l'azmaani
77. Whosoever does not attain the knowledge of the
Merciful (Allah), his life has been in ruin for all time
spent.

ِ ُ‫َخلَ ْق ُت َذا الْـ َخلْ َق ِل َي ْع ُبدُ ِوِن ** ي َ ْع ِِن ِب َي ْع ُبد‬


78. ‫ون ي َ ْع ِافُو ِِن‬
78 khalaqtu dha l'khal'qa liyah'budunii**
Yah'nii biyah'buduuni yah'rifuunii
78. I created these creations (Allah said) to worship
Me, "To worship Me" meaning "To know Me".

َ ‫َال تَأْ ُل ُ ْجدَ َك ِبن َ ْي ِل الْ ِع ْافَ ْان ** ا ًذا تَ َاى َ َِع‬
79. ‫يب قُ ْا ِب َّالا ْ َْح ْان‬
ِ
79 La tah'lu juh'daka binaili l'hirfaani**
Idha taraa hajiiba qur'bi r'rahmaani
79. Don't lessen your effort in acquiring the
knowledge (of Allah), Then you shall be astonished
by the closeness of The Most Merciful.

80. ‫ُ َمدَ ا‬ ْ َ ** ‫َش ٍء َ َِلى‬


ْ َ ُ‫َش ٍء َوقَ ْب َ ُِل َوب َ ْعد‬ ْ َ ‫َش ٍء عَ َىل‬
ْ َ ‫ي َ ْظه َُا ِم ْن‬
80 Yas'har min shai'hin ala shai'hin ladaa**
Shai'hin waqab'lahu wa ba'adu sar'madaa
80. He is manifest in everything, upon everything,
and by everything, before it and yet after it, forever.

81. ‫َوا ْن َر ِغ ْب َت ِِف ْاز ِد َ ا ِد االي َ ْان ** فَ ُت ْب ي َُصو ًحا َأ ْر ِدفَ ْْنَا ا ْح َس ْان‬
ِ ِ ِ
81 wa in ragi'ta fi z'diyaadi l'iimaani**
Fatub nasuuhan ar'd fan'ha ih'saana
81. If you crave for the increase of faith, Immediately
repent sincerely, and follow it with the way of
excellency.

82. ‫ُشعَ ِة الْـ ُمهَ َّذ ِب‬


ْ ِ ‫َال تُ ْب ِغضَ َّن ُم ْس ِل ًما َال تَ ْغضَ ِب ** ا َّال ِلـهَ ْت ِك‬
ِ
82 La tubgidan'na mus'limaan la tag'dab**
Il'la lihat'ki shir'hati l'muhadh'ab
82. Don't hate a Muslim or get angry, Except towards
the breaker of the refined law (Shari`at).

ُ ْ ‫َال ِز ْم ِق َيا َم الل َّ ْي ِل ُجو َع ِم ْعدَ ْه ** َأ‬


ْ َّ ‫ُك الْـ َح ًَل ِل‬
83. ‫الـَّص ِف َأيْضً ا عُدَّ ْه‬
83 Lazim qiyaama l'laili jaw'wih mahidah**
Akla l'alaali l'sirfi aidan hudah
83. Adhere to night vigil and hungry stomach, Eating
of what is purely lawful has equally been enumerated
(as a way of increasing faith).

84. ‫وء ِة ِم َن ا َلقَا ِر ِب‬‫ا‬


َ ُُ‫م‬ ‫ـ‬ْ ‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ َ
‫ل‬ ْ
‫ي‬ َ
‫أ‬ ** ‫ب‬
ِ ِ
‫ح‬ ‫ا‬‫ص‬َ ْ
‫ت‬ ُ ْ
‫اْص‬ ‫و‬ ‫ان‬‫و‬‫خ‬ْ ‫اال‬ ِ
َ َ َ ِ ِ َ‫َو ان‬
‫ِص‬
84 wa naasihi l'ikhwaana wa'asmut sohibi**
Ahla l'maru'ati mina l'aqaarib
84. And give sincerity to fellow brothers or maintain
silence keeping company of, People of excellent
morals among close relatives.
85. ‫َوالْـ َم ْا ُء ِِف ِد ِين قَ ِاي ِن ِه الْـ َح ِم ْ م ** ا ْن َصا ِلـ ًحا فَ َصا ِل ٌح َوا ْن ََ ِ ْ م‬
ِ ِ
85 wal mar'hu fi diini qarinihi l'hamiim**
In saalihan fasaalihaun wa in bahiim
85. And a man is in the religion of his close friend, If
righteous, he too will be righteous even if
unintelligent.

86. ‫الص ُح ِف ** َما ِِف الْـ َج ِح ِ م ِم ْن د ََوا ِم ا َل َس ِف‬ ْ


‫ِش‬
ُّ َ َ ‫ـ‬َ ‫ي‬ ‫ان‬
‫زي‬َ ِ
‫م‬ ‫ـ‬ْ ‫ل‬ ‫ا‬ ‫ا‬
ِ َّ ‫ك‬‫ذ‬َ َ‫ت‬
86 Tadhakar'ru l'miizaani nash'ru l'suhufi**
Maa fii l'jahiimi min dawaami l'asafi
86. Remember the scales (of weighing actions) and
the distribution of the book (of works), And what is
in hell fire of perpetual grief.
87. ‫َو ِِف الْ ِـجنَ ِان ِم ْن ِح َس ِان الْـ ُح ِور ** َم ََ الْـ َج َوا ِر َم َْ ِح َس ِان اِلُّ و ِر‬
87 Wa fii l'janaani min hisaani l'huuri**
Maha l'jawaari ma'h hisaani l'duri
87. And what is in the paradise of beautiful virgins,
Along with nice servants and beautiful dwellings.

88. ‫َو ُد ْم عَ َىل ُم َك ِفٰ َا ِات ا َِّليْ ِب ** أ َكدُ َيا َص ًَل ُة َي َذا الْ ُق ْط ِب‬
88 Wadum ala muk'firaati l'dhanbi**
Akaduhaa solaatu aadha l'qut'bi
88. And persist (on worships) of the sin wiping, The
strongest (of such worship) is the salat of this pivot
leader (Qutub).
ُ ‫ِم ْْنَا الْـ ُم َس بَّ َع‬
89. ‫ات ُص ْب ًحا َو َم َسا ** ِح ََكي َ ُة ا َل َذ ِان َأيْضً ا َذا ائْ ِت َسا‬
89 Min'ha l'musab'bahatu sub'han wamasaa**
Hikaayatu l'adhaani aidaa dha t'isaa
89. Of it is the Musaba`at, morning and evening,
imitation of the Adhan (call to prayer) also, These
will be of assistance.

90. ‫َأيْ َوا ُع َأ ْذ ََك ٍر َأتَ ْت ِِف الْـ َم ْذ َي ِب ** َص ًَلتُنَا عَ َىل َّالاِفيَ ِ الْـ َم ْن ِص ِب‬
90 An'waahu adhkari atat fii l'madh'abi**
Salatunaa ala r'rafiihi l'man'sibi
90. Various kinds of Azkar (worships) have been
related in the school thought (of Tijani), Our salat on
the exaltedly Dignified (Prophet, SAWS).
91. ‫يح َوت َ ْس ِب ٌيح َك َذا ** تَدَ رُّ ُا الْ ُق ْاأ ِن َراعِ الْـ َمـأْ َخ َذا‬
ٍ ‫ب‬ِ ‫س‬
ْ َ ‫ت‬ ُ
‫ة‬ َ
‫ًل‬ ‫َص‬
91 Salaatu tas'biihi wa tas'biihun kadha**
Tadab'buru l'qur'aani raahi l'mah'khadha
91. The glorification prayers and glorification itself,
Likewise Qur`an contemplation,

92. ‫َو َر ْك َع َت ِان ُخ ْف َي ًة ي َ ْق ُل الْـخ َُّطى ** ا ََل الْـ َم َس ِاج ِد يُ َك ِفٰ ُا الْـخ ََطا‬
ِ
92 warak'hataani khuf'yatan naqlu l'khutaa**
Ila l'masaajidi yukaf'firu l'khataa
92. And two prostrations made in fear (of Allah) and
taking of steps, To the mosques (all these) expiate
sins.

93. ‫َك َذ َاك ا ْس َبا ُغ الْ ُوضُ و ِء َوقُ ِد ** َأ ْ َُعى َك َذا قَضَ ا ُء َحا َج ٍة ِز ِد‬
ِ
93 kadhalika is'baag l'wuduuhi waqudi**
Ah'maa kadha qadaahu haajatin zidi
93. Likewise, the perfection of ablution and the
guiding of a blind person, as well as Fulfilling
people’s needs (all these are among expiation of sins).

94. ‫َوعَدُّ َم ْو ِ الْ َب ْح ِا ِف ْك َا ٌة ُم َصا ** فَ َح ُة اال ْخ َو ِان فَخ ُْذ ُم ْقتَ ِن َصا‬
ِ
94 Wahad'du maw'ji l'bah'ri fik'tatan musaa**
Fahat ikh'waanin fakhudh muq'tanisaa
94. And the reflective counting of sea waves and
ripples plus, Shaking of fellow Muslims should be
taken advantage of (in seeking forgiveness).

ْ َ ‫تَ ْع ِم ُري‬
ٌ ِ َ‫َش ٍص َر َمضَ ُان َص ْو ُم ُه ** َوق‬
95. ‫اِئ ِفي ِه يُ َم َّحى ُج ْا ُم ُه‬
95 Tah'miiru shakhsin ramadaanu saw'muhu**
Wa qaaimun fiihi yumaah'a jur'muhu
95. Filling up of Ramadan by a person (with worship)
and fasting of it, keeping night vigils in it erases his
sins.

96. ‫الصدَ قَ ْه‬ َ ْ ‫ُ َصدَ قَ ْه ** ِم ْن ِح ِ ٰل َم ٍال ِي ْع َم ِت‬


َّ ‫َك‬ ُّ ِ ‫َح ٌّج َو ُ ُْع َا ٌة َو‬
96 Aj'ju wahum'ratun wa sir'ru sadaqah**
Min hili maalin nihma tilka l'sodaqah
96. Performance of Hajj, Umra and charity in secret,
Made from lawful wealth is indeed a wonderful
charity.

ُّ ‫ُك َذ َاك َذ َك ُاو ْا ِِف‬


97. ‫الص ُح ِف‬ َّ ‫تَ ْع ِل ُ م ِص ْب َي ٍة َص ًَل ُة‬
ُّ ُ َ‫الص ِٰف ** ف‬
97 Tah'liimu sibyatin salaatu l'sof'fi**
Fakul'lu dhaaka dhakaru fi s'suhufi
97. Teaching of children (Qur’an and Hadith),
praying in straight rows (congregational prayers), All
these are mentioned in the Book (Qur`an).

98. ‫ات تُـ َق ِ ِٰس الْ َقلْ َبا ** ُح ُّب ال ٰ ِا َ ا َس ِة َأ َشدُّ َع ْي َبا‬
ٍ َ‫َو َي َاك أف‬
98 Wa haaka aafaati tuwasi l'qalbaa**
Hub'bu r'riyasa asad'du haibaa
98. And the following are defects that harden the
heart, The love of leadership is the worst of these
defects.

99. ‫َم ْز ٌح َو ِغي َب ٌة َج ِل ُيس ال ُّسو ِء ** فُ ْح ٌش ي َ ِممي َ ٌة َوي َ ْف ُس ال ُّسو ِء‬


99 maz'hu wagiibatun jaliisu l'suuhi**
Fuh'shu namiimatun wa naf'sun suuhi
99. Jesting, backbiting, bad sitting companions,
Indecency, slandering, and evil soul (are defects that
harden the heart).

100. ِ َُّ‫َك َذا َي َوى النَّ ْف ِس فَ ًَل تَتَّبِـَ ِ ** َو ِِف اِلُّ انَ ْاز َي ِد ب ًَِل تَت َب‬
100 Kadha hawa n'nafsi fala tat'tabihi**
Wa fi l'dunaa z'hadi bila tat'tbuhi
100. Likewise passionate desires of mind should not
be followed, and in worldly things, show abstinence
without always following.

101. ‫ُك الْ َو َرى ** َال ت َ ْس َت ِط ْب َأقَا ِو ًال َو َال ِم َاا‬


َّ ُ ‫ُك ْن ِحلْ َس بَيْ ٍت َوا ْع َ ِِت ْل‬
101 kun hil'sa bai'tin wa h'tazil kula l'wara**
La tastatib aqaawilan wala miraa
101. Be like a house carpet and withdraw from
everyone, Don't enjoy vain talks nor disputes (of
people).

ِٰ ُ ‫وب النَّا ِ ** َولْ َت ْغ َفلَ ْن َع ْْنُ ْم ِر‬


102. ِ ‫ُك َِب‬ ِ ‫َوغُ َّض َط ْافًا َع ْن ُع ُي‬
102 Wagud'da tar'rfan han huyuubi n'nasi**
Wal tagfulan han'hum bikul'li bah'si
102. Take your eyes off people's faults, And as much
as possible pay them no attention.

ِ ‫دَّق الْـ َمـا َل ِل َو ْج ِه‬


103. ‫هللا ** ُز ْر قَ ْ ََب ُم ْس ِ ٍَل ب ًَِل تَنَا ِه‬ ِ ‫تَ َص‬
103 Tasadaqa l'maa'la liwaj'hi llahi**
Zur'qabra muslimin bila tanaahu
103. Give charity out of your wealth for Allah's sake,
Visit Muslim tombs without cease.

104. ‫َال َ ُْت ِل َف ْن ا َّال ا َذا قَيَّ ْدَتَ ** عَ َىل الْـ َم ِييئَ ِة َم ََت َحلَ ْفتَا‬
ِ ِ
104 La tah'lifan il'la idha qay'yadtaa**
Ala l'mashiiati mataa halaf'taa
104. Don't ever swear except you limit (your
swearing) To the will (of Allah) whenever you do
swear.

105. ‫قَ ِد ا ْنَّتَ َ ْت ي َِصي َح ُة اال ْخ َو ِان ** عَ َىل ا ْخ ِت َص ٍار ِمثْ َل َأي ِْل ال ِن‬
ِ
105 qad n'tahat nasiihatu l'ikhwaani**
Ala kh'tisaarin mithla ahli l'aani
105. Here comes to an end the brotherly advice, In
condensed form just like people of these days.

َ ْ ‫ِِف عَا ِم االثْنَ ْ ِني َوا َل ْرب َ ِعينَا ** ب َ ْعدَ ثَ ًَل َث َعـ‬
106. ‫ِش َة ِم ِئينَا‬
ِ
106 Fii haami l'ithnayni wal'arbahiina**
Ba'ada thalathi hashratin mahiina
106. In the year forty two, After thirteen hundred
(years of Hijra).

107. ‫َ ََّس ْي ُت َذا النَّ ْظ َم ِر ُاوحِ ا َلد َِب ** ِلـ َما َح َوى ِم ْن ِح َ ٍمك َو َأد َِب‬
107 sam'maytu dha l'n'nasmi biruhi l'adabi**limaa
hawa min hikadami wa adabi
107. I name this poem as "Spirit of Good Morals,"
Because of what it contains of wisdom and manners.
108. ‫ُم ْع َت ِذ ًرا ِع ْندَ َذ ِوي ا َللْ َب ِاب ** َو ُمن ْ ِيدً ا قَ ْو َل فَ ََت ا َليْدَ ِاب‬
108 muh'tadhiran min dhawi l'albaabi**
Wamun'shidan qawla fataa l'andabi
108. Seeking excuse of the people of intellect, And
just a song of sayings of an active youth.

ٌ َ ‫ِش َين َس نَ ْه ** َم ْع ِذ َر ٌة َم ْق ُب‬


109. ‫وَل ُم ْس َت ْح َس نَ ْه‬ ِ ْ ‫َو ِل َب ِِن ا ْحدَ ى َو ِعـ‬
ِ
109 Walibani ih'da wahis'riina sanah**
Ma'adhiratun maq'bulatun musta'asanah
109. And for a child of twenty-one years, are reasons
acceptable and beautifully justified.

110. ‫فَايْ َف َْ ب َِذا النَّ ْظ ِم َ َِجي ََ الْـ ُم ْؤ ِم ِن ْني ** َ ا َربَّنَا ِ ََبا ِه خ ْ َِري الْـ ُم ْا َس ِل ْني‬
110 Fan'fah bidha n'nasmi jamiihi l'mumini**
Yah rabanaa bijahi khaira mur'sali
110. Benefit with this poem all the Believers, Oh our
Lord, because of the magnificence of the best of the
Messengers.

111. ‫َوا ْج َع ْ ُِل خَا ِل ًصا ِل َو ْ ِج َك ْال َك ِا ْمي ** َ ا َر ِ ٰب َ ا لَ ِط ُيف َر ْ َْح ُن َر ِح ْ م‬


111 Wa'jhal'hu khalisan liwaj'hika l'kareem**
Yah rab'bi yah lateefu rahmanu raheem
111. And make it to be purely for the sake of your
Noble self, Oh Lord, oh the Kind, Beneficent, the
Most Merciful.

112. ‫َو َال يَغ َّ يُاْ َك ِ ِِب ْفظِ النَّ ْظ ِم ** َك ْو ِِن َص ِغ ًريا ِِف ب ًَِل ِد الْ َع ْج ِم‬
112 wala yagur'ranka bihf'si n'nasmi**
Kawnii sagiiran fii bilaadi l'hajami
112. Don't be deceived and not memorize the Poem,
Because I am small (in age) and from the non-Arab
(African country).

113. ‫هللا ُذو الْ َف ْض ِل الْ َع ِظ ِ م َوالْـ ُم ِا ْيد‬ ُ ٰ ‫فَ ـ‬


ُ ‫الِل َ َْي َت ُّص ِب َف ْض ٍل َم ْن يُ ِا ْيد ** َو‬
113 Fa'llahu yakhtas'su bifad'lin man yuriid**
Wa'llahi dhu l'fadli l'hadhhimi wal'muriid
113. Allah favors with whom He wants, And Allah is
possessor of great virtues, and Willer (of what He
wants).

ُّ ِ ‫قَ ْد قَا َل ِِف َي َذا الْـ َم َْج ِال ا َل ْم َْجدُ ** َخ ِد ُمي َط َه الْـ َما ِل‬
114. ُ‫ِك َأ ْ َْحد‬
114 Qad qaala fii aadha l'majaali l'am'jahu**
Khadiimu ta'ah l'maalikiy'yu ahmadu
114. Indeed it has been said in this respect, the
illustrious, Servant of Ta Ha and of Maliki (school of
thought), Ahmad (the son of Bamba of Senegal).

115. ‫فَلَيْ َس يُ ْك ِس ُب َس َوا ُد الْ ِـج ْس ِم ** ب َ ًَل َد َة الْ َف ََت َو ُس َوء الْ َفهْ ِم‬
115 Falaysa yuk'sibu sawaadu l'jismi**
Bilaadati l'fataa wasuuha l'fah'mi
115. A black skinned will never acquire (because of
his color), Youthful stupidity and bad understanding.

116. ‫ُش عَا ِدي‬ َّ ُ ‫َ ا َر ِ ٰب َ ا َر ِ ٰب ِ ََبا ِه الْـهَا ِدي ** فَ ُك َّف َعنَّا‬


ٍ ٰ َ ‫ُك‬
116 yah rab'bi yah rab'bi bijaahi l'haadi**
Fakuf'fa han'na kul'la shar'ri aahdi
116. Oh Lord, Oh Lord, by the magnificence of
Al-Haadee (SAWS), Protect us from every evil of our
enemies.

ٰ ِ ُ ‫ُم َّن عَلَ ْينَا ِر َكَ ِال الْ ِع ْافَ ْان ** َو‬
ٍ ُ‫ُك َم ْاغ‬
117. ‫وب ِ َِب ْ ِري عَ ْد انَ ْن‬
117 Mun'na alaina bikamaali l'hir'faani**
Wa kul'li mar'guubin bikhairi hadnaani
117. Bestow on us with the divine knowledge, And
everything desirous, because of the best of the lineage
of the legendary Adnan (SAWS).

ْ ‫فَ ْاس ُ َْت ُع ُيوبَنَا ب ِِس ْ َِت َك الْـ َج ِم‬


ْ ‫يل ** َوا ْقه َْا عَدُ َّو انَ ِب َقهْ ِا َك الْـ َْج ِل‬
118. ‫يل‬
118 Faa'stur huyuubina bisat'rika l'jamiil**
Wa'aq'ar haduw'wanaa biqah'rika l'jalil
118. And cover our faults with your covering, that is
the beautiful (of coverings), And overcome our
enemies with your power, that is the Most
Splendorous (of powers).

119. ‫َوالْـ َح ْمدُ ِ ـ ٰ ِلِل َّ ِاِلي قَ ْد َأ ْو ََل ** تَي ِْس َري ي َْظ ِمي فَه َْو ِي ْع َم الْـ َم ْو ََل‬
119 Wal'hamdu lillahi ladhi qad awlaa**
Taysiira nasmi fah'wa nih'ma l'mawla
119. And praise are for Allah who has supported and
made easy my compilation. He is indeed a Wonderful
Patron.

َّ ‫ُ َُّث‬
120. ‫الص ًَل ُة َم ََ ت َ ْس ِل ِ م ال َّس ًَل ْم ** عَ َىل النَّ ِ ِ ٰيب الْـ ُم ْص َط َفى خ ْ َِري ْ َال انَ ْم‬
120 Thum'ma salaatu maha tasliimi s'salami**
Ala n'nabiy'yi l'mustapha khairi l'anaami
120. Then Blessing and peaceful salutations be upon
the Prophet (SAWS), the chosen, the best of
creations.

ْ َ ‫عَلَ ْي ِه َوال آ ِل َو‬


ُّ ُ ‫ِص ٍب َأ ْر َا ْار ** َما فَ َاز ِِبلْ ِع ْافَ ِان‬
121. ‫ُك َص َّب ْار‬
121 Alaihi wal'aali wa sahbi abraar**
Maa faaza bil'hirfaani kul'lu saba'aar
121. On him (is this blessing) and his household,
dutiful companions, As long as every patient one
succeeds in attaining the knowledge (of Allah).
Ameen thumma Ameen..
