TASK 3: SENTENCE DIAGRAMING #1

SIMPLE AND COMPOUND SUBJECTS AND PREDICATES


DUE DATE: WEDNESDAY, JUNE 3 AT 6 P.M.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Work in pairs or triads.
2. You decide who you want to work with.
3. You can make your diagrams on the laptop (using any app or any drawing
tool) or by hand using lined or white paper.
4. You can send this task by email or wsp (by taking clear pictures of your
diagrams). Review your photos before sending them, please. Be sure
everything is perfectly readable and in order.
5. If you choose the second option, you won’t be able to receive
feedback/evaluation like those you’ve received so far.
6. If you send your task by email follow this format (subject: Task-3-
PérezCarlos, RuízAngel, NGYara). Follow the same format to save your
task.
7. Trying to speed the evaluation of your assignments up, I have created a
new email account: english210ab@gmail.com. From now on every task
must be sent to the new mail account.
8. You must send the personal information of the participants (full name & ID
number) to the mean you chose.
9. The due date means that after that day and time your task will be subtracted
10 points for lateness!
10. Avoid sending the same mail/ picture(s) more than once.
11. These instructions are a guide on what you should do. Do not send them
back with your task.
12. Unfollow any of these directions will subtract your task 10 points.
EVALUATION:
13. Each diagram is worth 10 points.
14. They will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
14.1. Order & Neatness (readability) – 2 points
14.2. Sentence components – 8 points

2) Caroline wrote and drew.
3) Dogs play.
4) John and I laughed.
5) Cats and dogs purr.
6) Carlos and Sheldry tried but lost.
7) Jamal skates.
8) Grass grows.
9) Silent!
10) Emily and Erika sing and dance.
