PRONOUNS

Pronouns are used to substitute nouns in order to avoid unnecessary repetition.

Sittie is creative and smart. She is also pretty.

1. Personal Pronouns
2. Indefinite Pronouns
3. Demonstrative Pronouns
4. Interrogative Pronouns
5. Relative Pronouns
6. Reflexive Pronouns
7. Intensive Pronouns

I. PERSONAL PRONOUNS

Singular Plural
As subject: I am learning English. You are learning English.
She/ He is learning English. We/ They are learning English
It is a cat. They are cats.

As object: Ma’am taught me English. Ma’am taught you English.


Ma’am taught her/him English. Ma’am taught us/ them English.
The girls love it.

Possessive Case: My English is good. Your learning in English is good.


Her/His English is good. Our/ Their English is good.
Its tail is wagging. Their tails are wagging.

: This English book is mine. This English book is yours.


This English book is hers/ his. This English book is ours/theirs.

***PERSONS OF PRONOUN

First Person : I, WE, OUR, US, OURS

Second Person : YOU, YOUR, YOURS

Third Person : HE, SHE, IT, THEY, HIM, HER,THEM, HIS,HERS, THEIR, THEIRS
