Introduction
Section 4 will connect the artifacts presented in section three with curriculum and
professional standards as is pertains to the teaching profession. The artifacts are displayed in the
graphic organizer below which makes it easy to read and understand. The graphic organizer is
broken up into different sections which encompass a number of different standards in Ontario
and State of New York. These standards include: INTASC standards, NYS Code of Ethics
standards for Educators, NYS P-12 Common Core Learning Standards, NYS Learning
Standards, TEAC & CAEP claims, ISTE Standards for Teachers and/or Students, CEC
standards, and Ontario Curriculum Standards. Each of these standards have several sub
standards that are applied to the artifacts that have been showcased in this portfolio. The
connection between the artifacts and the standards is important to educators and employers
because it showcases our knowledge and our ability to reference best practices and pedagogy in

Conclusion
Throughout the section above, I was able to connect the artifacts that I have showcased
up until now with curriculum and professional standards that pertain to the teaching profession.
This section was presented in the form of a graphic organizer in order to distribute the content
accordingly and give the reader easy access when reading. It is also is professionally distributed
in order to present to employers upon request. This section enabled me to look back at the work
that I have done and reference best practices practice standards in order to keep the material up
to date. It was also an important step in the reflection process in order to correct errors and use
