ECD WORKSHOP HELD ON 06/03/2020 AT LAKE VICTORIA PRIMARY

Min: 2/03/2020 Prayer:

The opening prayer was led by a teacher.

Min: 3/03/2020 Self Introductions:

All teachers introduced themselves.

Min: 4/04/2020 Remarks from host head teacher:

The deputy head teacher who represented head teacher welcomed every body
present and hoped that the teachers would benefit from the workshop and
wished them the best.

Min: 5/03/2020 Remarks from the MIS:

She welcomed the members and promised that everything would go well
completion.

She also introduced the new CCT to the teachers present and wished them a
happy new year and prayed to God for the best in 2020.

She appreciated the teachers for their good performance in P.L.E 2019 results
and said that Entebbe got 100% in PLE results of 2019 being her fist time in
office.
She requested them to continue working hard for better performance and said
that there will be a seminar every term to refresh teachers who don’t want to go
for upgrading.

She added that there were some challenges in scheming and lesson planning
mostly in nursery section. She informed teachers that they are working in
competitive moments in schools so there is need to work harder.

She appreciated the few male teachers who attended the workshop and wished
teachers a good day. In her conclusion she:

1. Reminded teachers to inform directors to hand in their files to be registered


under the municipality.
2. Informed un qualified teachers should go back and study as emphasized
by P.E.O.
3. P.E.O asked teacher to take their certificates for registration in the council.
4. M.I.S. promised certificate after the workshop in one weeks’ time.

Min: 6/03/2020 Official Opening by Principal Education Officer

The P.E.O apologized for his late coming and that it was not his own making,
for there was an agency in a another meeting.

Welcomed the teachers and thanked them of having turned up in a big


numbers and asked them to have a positive attitude towards the workshops
were to be held every term and encouraged them to become learning friends.

Additionally he requested them to have passion for teaching and not to work
for money.

Encouraged teachers to love their work, saying that “the seeds of today are the
fruits of tomorrow”

He emphasized that the children they are teaching are the future so they
should love them.

In conclusion he thanked the MIS for organizing such a workshop and asked
teachers to be active during the workshop for refreshment and upgrade for
their better service.

Min: 7/03/2020: Facilitator (CCT)


 She introduced herself as Birungi Amina and welcomed all the teachers to
the workshop.
 She promised to have a changed teaching methodology in Entebbe for the
better.
 She encouraged I teachers to reform and change their mind set to the new
methods of teaching reporting that some teachers are not delivering the
real matter to the learners as expected.
She gave an outline of her talk as follows:

M.I.S. thanked the CCT for the good work and requested teachers to have
passion and develop interest in their teaching.
MIS welcomed the Chairperson and treasure EMPSHA.

The Chairperson EMPSHA thanked the CCT for the good work and encouraged
teachers to take the knowledge given and use it in their school.
Mr. Irumba Jackson moved a vote of thanks.
