OBJECTIVES:
1. To learn the organizational set-up of a community pharmacy.
2. To learn the duties and responsibilities of each personnel in a community pharmacy.

2. Manpower/ personnel
3. Duties and responsibilities of each personnel

ACTIVITIES:
1. Illustrate by schematic diagram the organizational set-up of the pharmacy.
2. List down the different personnel and their functions in the pharmacy. Are the
personnel matched with respect to their educational background, previous work
experience (if any), and position? Arte their duties matched with their positions?
3. Determine if the current set-up is ideal or is the pharmacy undermanned or
overmanned. Explain your answers briefly.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To learn the laws pertinent to the practice of pharmacy in the community.
2. To be able to determine the requirements in opening a drug store.

OBJECTIVES:
1. To familiarize students with the typical set-up of a community pharmacy.
2. To be able to differentiate the typical from a chain drug store set-up.
3. To familiarize students the physical arrangements of pharmacy, facilities, apparatus/
equipment and other materials.

TOPIC FOR DISCUSSION:


1. Physical set-up in a community pharmacy

ACTIVITIES:
A. Illustrate the physical set-up of a typical community drugstore and chain drugstore.
B. List down equipment, facilities that can be found in a community drugstore. Are they
commonly found in all pharmacies? In what activities/ functions are they being used?
How vital are they in the pharmacy operation?
