    Follow these helpful tips

    There are 1000s of different fuses from many manufacturers worldwide. When trying to
    source a fuse the following information will be very useful.

    ▪ Manufacturer

    ▪ Part Number

    ▪ Dimensions (Length of fuse body, diameter, overall length, width)

    ▪ Current rating in Amps

    If you have obtained the above information, there is no need to proceed any further,
    however customers do not often have the above information so you will need to ask:

    ▪ Voltage? (AC or DC)


    ▪ Characteristic? (eg: gL,aM,gR)
    ▪ Are approvals required? (eg: UL, IEC)
    ▪ Fixing centres? (how far apart - if relevant)
    ▪ How is the fuse mounted (If relevant)
    ▪ What is the fuse protecting?
    ▪ Does the fuse have an indicator?
    ▪ Does the fuse have a striker to operate a microswitch?

    Miniature Fuses:
    n FF - Ultra rapid
    n F or QA or QB - Fast blow
    n M or MD - Medium blow
    n T or SB - Slow Blow / Time delay / Anti surge
    n TT - Ultra slow

    Bottle Fuses:
    n DIAZED - 500V Bottle fuses DI (E16), DII (E27), DIII (E33)
