High-shear dry extrusion from Insta-Pro International® effectively cooks the starch in cereal grains,
making it a highly digestible, high-quality, value-added version of the commodity. By eliminating live
bacteria & viruses, and reducing toxins, cooked starches can be used at moderate levels in many
formulations. In particular, high-shear dry extruded cereal grains work well in dairy formulations
to stimulate rumen microbial protein, and provide higher-digestible nutrients for sensitive diets for
nursery piglets, as well as starter poultry diets.
