Imagine you are a care worker at a residential care home for people with
dementia. One of the women you support, Velma, has started to display
inappropriate behaviour. She has started swearing aggressively and some
members of staff have reported that she has threatened them verbally
(though she has never physically lashed out). She has also been found
walking in to other resident’s rooms and disturbing them.
Explain the actions you would take in response to Velma’s inappropriate behaviour. [2.6]
