Ground antenna for an internet link on the X-band on moving platforms
Description:
The objective is the design of a transmitting and receiving antenna for the ground segment
of an X-band satellite link. The antenna is intended to be used on a moving platform, so
that its main beam must always be aimed at the geostationary satellite that serves as a
base station in the communications system.
Depending on the type of antenna used, a mechanical pointing structure, an electronic
pointing or a mixed pointing can be considered, so that one of the angles (azimuth) is
mechanically selected and the other (elevation) is electronically selected
