All global businesses are looking at internet marketing as a very important avenue to boost

revenues and customer base. The idea of understanding the difference between
E- marketing and normal physical marketing is essentially important in determining the
right blend of marketing tools that suit your business needs.  The similarities are not far in
between compared to the differences. Through e marketing they can reach a large number
of customer’s within less time

Similarities of traditional marketing and E-marketing

One of the basic similarities between traditional marketing and E-marketing is actually the
fact that all are a set of tools that are used to attract potential customers to the services or
products sold by your business. They tailor well created messages that call for action and
response to an ongoing sales campaign or product or services promotion initiative.
Another important factor that unites them is the idea of involving consumer behavior and
factors affecting them in every angle of selling and promoting a service or product.

Each and every approach in either traditional or internet marketing cannot work if the
consumer behavior patterns are not well understood and researched by the concerned
agencies. Both internet and traditional marketing are hypothetical in nature and whilst in
many cases they do get more customers, this is not always a guarantee. The approaches
taken are based on concrete hypothetical assumptions which can be favored or negatively
affected by extranet factors affecting potential consumers.
Differences between internet marketing and
traditional marketing
Internet marketing unlike traditional physical marketing is immediate and fast. Through a
combination of SEO tools and digital ads, companies can track down their marketing tools
and see how effective they are within a short time. Traffic is driven fast and customers
acquired even in hours unlike traditional marketing which may take days, or even months.
Another important difference is the fact that internet marketing combines a wide range of
tools. The idea here is to make sure that every opportunity is seized and therefore to some
extent it is relatively effective compared to physical marketing.

On the other hand, physical marketing can be more specific to the relevant customers than
internet marketing. While e-marketing allows your company access to a wide range of
potential customers, in many ways the marketing campaigns fall to among the relevant
people also a good number of irrelevant ones.

Physical marketing can be structured so that it targets those people who are relevant to the
services and products it is selling. In terms of overall effectiveness, internet marketing
seem to edge over the physical approach by a margin yet even so, there is no arguing that
traditional marketing is still a very important part of modern business marketing ideas
