Electric cast steel for general applications (DIN 1681 and DIN EN 10293, DIN 17182)
GE-200 (GS-38) to GE-300 (GS-60) Complicated work pieces with medium to high strain.
Easily weldable up to 0.25%, beyond this particular pre-
cautionary measures are to be observed.
GS-16 Mn 5 to GS-13 MnNi 64 Electric cast steel in accordance with DIN 17182 with
improved suitability for welding and durability.
High-temperature electric cast steel (DIN 17245 and DIN EN 10213-2, SEW 595)
GS-C 25 to G-X 22 CrMoV 12 1 Primarily used for structural parts that are subject to
internal pressure at working temperatures between 300
and 600°C.
Heat resistant cast stainless steel (DIN 17465 and SEW 471)
G-X 30 CrSi 6 to G-X 40 NiCrSiNb 38 18 Austenitic steels are preferred to austenitic-ferritic duplex
materials for high mechanical strain in heat. Materials
with high durability are best suited for structural parts
with constant temperature change. Application tempera-
tures depending on material of 600 - 1.150° C.
Stainless and corrosion-resistant cast steel (DIN 17445, DIN EN 10213-4, SEW 410)
G-X 12 Cr 12 to G-X 5 CrNiMoNb 19 11 2 As it is very difficult to come up with figures for chemical
resistance, we provide consulting on the correct choice of
materials according to the application, composition, working
temperature and working pressure specified for the particu-
lar chemical agent.
Cast iron with spheroidal graphite (spheroidal graphite iron) (DIN EN 1563 and DIN 1693)
EN-GJS-350-22-LT(GGG-35.3) to This “ductile cast iron” contains graphite formed in a
EN-GJS-800-2 (GGG-80) spheroidal shape. Due to this particular graphite mor-
phology, the materials not only have considerably higher
tensile strength than cast iron with lamellar graphite, but
also excellent ductility.
Thin-walled and complicated cast parts that can barely be
manufactured from cast steel can be cast with smooth,
clean surfaces and great precision due to the low viscosity
at low casting temperatures.
Cast iron with lamellar graphite (DIN EN 1561 and DIN 1691)
EN-GJL-100 (GG-10) to EN-GJL-350 (GG-35) Cast parts for structural parts that are not subject to wear.
