2 Description
2.1 Functional principle
The carrier arm of the tensioning weight is mounted on the car guide rail whereas the jointed
pivot arm connected to the carrier arm is weighted down at the free end with filler weights. By
means of a fixed lever transmission, the force resulting from the filler weights is transferred via
the tensioning roller to the governor rope.
Any rope elongation that occurs is balanced out by the jointed bearing of the pivot arm.
Rope dislocation protection prevents the rope from jumping out of the groove in the event of a
slack rope and at the same time prevents the intrusion of foreign bodies between the rope and
roller.

3 Technology
3.1 Deployment options
The governor tensioning unit is intended for use in conjunction with the speed governor type
6023 (D300). Depending on the position of the overspeed governor in relation to the car guide
rails, either the left-hand or right-hand version of the tensioning weight is to be chosen, whereby
the symmetrical design of all parts permits later modification from one version to the next.
Different steel weights are used as tensioning weights depending on the required tension force.
Depending on the required tension force, the number can be varied and/or combined.

The permitted swivel range is a maximum of +8° / -10°. Compliance with the minimum required
distances to the shaft floor or to the shaft wall is imperative to ensure the function.
