Customer Segment: The company serves the B2B customers such as government organizations,
Corporate and other institutions while in the retail segment its caters customers in the age group
of 20-45 years who are from middle-income group social class
Distribution Channel: It distributes its products & services through a mix of channels depending
on the business segment like for power distribution it uses government build network or self-
developed distribution network, for other business like consumer goods, illumination and export-
import business it uses channels of distributions like distributors, resellers, e-commerce sites,
wholesalers and company own sales team.

Customer Relationship: Proactively anticipating internal and external customer needs and
relentlessly working towards exceeding their expectations.

Key Resources: Research and Development, Product Portfolio, Human resource, Brand.

Key partners: Supplier, distributor, retailor, Vector Consulting Group to revamp its supply chain.

Revenue Stream: Retail outlets, e-commerce websites.

Cost Structure: Operation cost, Advertisement cost, Serving cost for customers.
HR Functions:

HRM is responsible for recruitment to retirement of employee in organization. It can be described


as a process of development of human resource through guidance, integration, motivation of
personnel to achieve the organizational goals along with individual goals. Whilst it is not easy to
ensure that all the functions of HRM are interdependent, interrelated and depend upon the specific
situation. Most functions are carried out as one single activity of management.

Functions of HRM can mainly be divided into two:

A. Managerial Functions

B. Operative Functions

A. Managerial Functions

Managerial functions include planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling, the work
of those who are entrusted with the performing of operative functions. All these functions influence
the operative functions and also they are interdependent.

B. Operative Functions:

The operative functions of personnel management are concerned with the activities specially
recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management system,
compensation and benefits, employee engagement. It varies from department to department
depending on the nature of the department. The operative functions of HRM relate to ensuring
right people for right jobs at right times

HR practices of Bajaj Groups:

Wolf of Park Street: - This is an award winning gamified sales simulation program. Offering a

real time sales environment to the players, the game educates players about company’s

products through gamification and helps honing their selling skills.


MobiBuzz: - This is a learning and communication mobile application; which employees can
access on their smartphones. The application keeps employees updated about new initiatives as
well as industry activities. There are number of quiz and games that feature on the application and
help establishing a constant engagement with the employees.

Selection:

 Step 1: Screening - Screening of candidates by special screening committee based on work


experience, qualifications etc.
 Step 2: Preliminary Interview - This interview helps weed out the large number of
applicants
 Step 3: Employment Interview - The employment interview will be for those applicants
who make it to the shortlist after the preliminary interview. The interviewer gets to observe
the candidate’s body language, get a clearer picture of the candidate’s true credentials and
judge the candidate's honesty. In the interview, the candidate gets to display confidence
and communication skills, which are important for any Brand Manager.
 Step 4 : Reference and Background Analysis - A background check is necessary to verify
that each candidate’s past records are clean. Information given by former employers or
schools gives a clearer image of the applicant’s character.
 Step 5 : Physical Examination - A physical examination for the finalist helps ascertain
his mental, physical and psychological capabilities.
 Step 6: Job Offer – After completion of all the above steps we will give offer letter to
candidate.
