4.FIRST-AID MEASURES
Inhalation:
If vapors, mists, or spray of this solution are inhaled remove victim to fresh air.
Keep person warm and at rest. If not breathing, or breathing is irregular or if respiratory arrest occurs
get medical attention immediately.
Skin contact:
Remove contaminated clothing and immediately wash skin off with soap and water to avoid inflammation
of skin. Promptly seek medical attention.
Eye contact:
Immediately flush with water for over 15 minutes and seek medical attention to avoid risk of irritating
cornea and mucous membrane and developing conjunctivitis. When rinsing lift upper and lower eyelids
up with fingers and move eyes in every direction possible. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy
to do.
Ingestion:
Keep at rest and seek medical care at the first available opportunity.
If possible, rinse out mouth and do not induce vomiting.
Caution:
Never give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. If unconscious, place in recovery position and
get medical attention immediately. Maintain an open airway. Loosen tight clothing such as collar, tie,
belt or waistband. No action shall be taken involving personal risk or without suitable training. If it is
suspected that fumes are still present, the rescuer should wear an appropriate mask or self-contained
breathing apparatus. It may be dangerous to the person providing aid to give mouth-to-mouth
resuscitation. Wear protective gloves or wash contaminated clothing thoroughly with water before
removing.

5.FIRE-FIGHTING MEASURES
Suitable extinguishing media:
Dry chemical powder, carbon dioxide, foam, sand, and water.
Specific hazards:
Intense heat from fires may cause thermal decomposition, harmful gases or irritation gases.
Fire-Fighting procedures:
Product itself will not ignite.
Always place yourself upwind.
In case of peripheral fires promptly move containers to safe area.
If containers are immobile, cool down the peripheral surrounding area with cold water as to prevent
rupture of container.
Put localized primary fires out using appropriate fire-extinguisher.

6.ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES


Personal precautions, protective equipment, and emergency procedures:
Workers must wear appropriate protection equipment (8. Exposure Prevention and Protection Measures
referenced) and work from upwind.
Unauthorized personnel must stay away from large spills. Ventilate enclosed areas.
Environmental precautions:
Barricade larger spills with gravel and the like to avoid runoff of spilled material and prevent its contact
with soil, waterways, drains and sewers.
Waste water from washing/rinsing area should not be released into the environment.
Methods and materials for containment and clean up:
For small spills, use chemical absorbent or wipe up with waste cloth.
For larger spills, collect it in a PE container as much as possible.
Subsequently neutralize with Soda ash solution or Caustic soda solution, then rinse liberally with water.

7.HANDLING AND STORAGE


Handling:
Must use proper PPE (8. Exposure Prevention and Protection Measure referenced), and must be
handled in well ventilated areas.

Avoid breathing vapor/mist, do not get in eyes, skin, clothes, wear appropriate PPE, to minimize
exposure.
Seal container after each use.
Collect all empty containers in one designated area.

Storage:
Store in secure area to avoid theft.
Avoid direct sunlight, high temperatures, and high humidity.
Ideal storage conditions include cool, dark areas at 5 to 35C.
Use containers provided with product.
Use containers specified by the UN transport regulations.
