    1. Why did you choose Mechanical Engineering?

    I choose mechanical engineering because I am curious about how a certain

    object move. My father is a jeepney driver and when the machine of our jeep is not

    working, I am always at my fathers’ side to help him giving tools when repairing. I want

    to become an engineer someday. In mechanical engineering it allows us students to

    build a better future for our family and for the world. I think mechanical engineering will

    give me more knowledge and better understanding about life. Also, mechanical

    engineering is a broad field and there is a lot of job opportunities in the future.

    2. Where do you see yourself in the future after taking Mechanical Engineering

    program?

    I see myself in the future after taking Mechanical Engineering Program and having a

    degree is, I am working at the office or manufacturing site. Any work that is related to

    the field I studied. I want to have a good compensating job to help my parents and my

    siblings.

    Activity 1: Putting Things in the Right Perspective


    In this activity 1, nine of my fingers are down. As child, I follow every single rule

    in our house; doing household chores and respect my family. As a student and a

    member of society, I follow traffic rules, share facts and not fake news in social media. I

    always think before I click and share contents in different social media sites. I am aware

    of the concepts of drug and addiction and not using illegal drugs. Through this course,

    we as a youth will recognize our importance in nation-building and enhance our skills in

    leadership. Here we will train to acquire various principles to be helpful in the

    development of our life and the community. During any election, I express my right to

    vote and I vote wisely, I elect the person that is deserving for that position. When the

    national anthem play, I stop whatever I do to show respect to the Philippine flag and

    national anthem. I accept, respect and appreciate Filipino values. It instills to us a

    sense of patriotism for our country and prepares us to be socially aware and

    responsible individual members of community. I have environmental awareness and

    involve myself in keeping the environment clean and green. At home, I usually help my

    parents in gardening, planting plants during the community quarantine. I am not that

    good in leadership but I am a good follower that promotes peace in the community I

    belong. It will motivate me to actively involve in community development. This program

    is so beneficial for it is one way for us students to learn and train to become well-

    disciplined and effective. As a student, I can learn from this what simple things we can

    do by starting out with the community.
