I absolutely love the Harry Potter series, and all of the books will always hold a special place in my heart. I have to say that of all the
books, however, this one was not my favorite. When the series began it was as much of a “feel good” experience as a huge mug of
hot cocoa. The stories were bright, fast-paced, intriguing, and ultimately satisfying.
Order of the Phoenix is a different kind of book. In some instances this works you feel a whole new level of intensity and excitement
by the time you get to the end. I was truly moved by the last page. Other times the book just has a slightly dreary, depressing feel.
The galloping pace of the other books has slowed to a trot here, and parts of it do seem long, as if we’re reading all about Harry
“just hanging out” instead of having his usual adventures. Reading in detail about Harry cleaning up an old house, for example –
housekeeping is still housekeeping, magical or no, and I’m not very interested in doing it or reading about other people doing it.
A few other changes in this book – the “real” world comes much more in to play rather than the fantasy universe of the previous
books, and Harry has apparently been taken off his meds. I know that he had a lot to be grumpy in this book, especially with being
a teenager and all, but the sudden change in his character seemed too drastic. He goes from being a warm-hearted, considerate
person to someone who will bite his best friend’s heads off over nothing. It just seemed like it didn’t fit with his character, like he
turned into a walking cliché of the “angry teen” overnight. The “real” story seemed to happen in the last 1/3 of the book, and this
part I loved. I actually liked the ending (and yes, I cried!) as sad as it was. It packed a punch and it made me care about the story
even more. Still a really good book, with some editing it would have been great.

Today I woke up at 5:00am in the morning. I put on my loose fitting shirt, trousers, sturdy black boots with little holes in them, wide
brimmed hat and a plastic bag with spare dry clothes in case it rained so I didn’t get a cold. When I got out of the four-wheel drive I
could feel the refreshing cool air, it smelt like it had been raining for ages before I came to the rainforest. I decided to explore the
forest floor.
The first animal I saw was a magnificent, giant eastern brown snake. I was so scared I felt like I wanted to run but that would be
really dangerous!
The second animal I spotted was a beetle eating a rotten berry. I bent down to have a closer look but it stank like rotten eggs and
onion mixed together. Then I turned to the right and saw a bowerbird collecting lots of blue stuff like wrappers and blue flowers. It
had beautiful, magnificent, midnight-blue eyes and it looked very graceful.
By now I had seen enough on the forest floor so I decided to go to the understorey. So I went to the bridge in the understorey 20m
high off the forest floor. The first animal I saw in the understorey was a massive, graceful, blue butterfly sucking pollen off a
beautiful orchid. That was my favourite animal so far of all the animals I saw.
The second animal I spotted was a black bat hanging upside down on the branch near me. Before I arrived at the rainforest I
thought we wouldn’t see a bat because I was going in the day and bats are nocturnal.
The third animal I spotted was a grey Boyd’s dragon it was eating lots of bugs and beetles. I looked down to the forest floor and
saw a little stream, it had a cute, little platypus looking after her five tiny, mini babies.
By now I had had enough of the understorey so I decided to go up the ladder to the canopy. I already knew that we would see lots
of brightly coloured birds in the canopy. I went up the ladder and on the way up I already saw lots of birds and lots of berries and
colourful, beautiful, rainbow flowers. When I got to the canopy I was 30m high.
The first animal I saw in the canopy was a Crimson Rosella it was eating seeds off some beautiful flowers. The Crimson Rosella was
dark red and midnight-blue on its tail and wings. I could see the emergent trees 50m tall off the ground. I saw a wedge-tail eagle
looking for food and other little animals.
I had a great time because I liked the rainforest. The most terrifying animal was the eastern brown snake. I liked the blue butterfly
the best of all the animals.

Komodo is the biggest lizard in the world. Some people say it is a dragon and the scientists say that komodo is one of the ancient
animals which survive until today. The original home of that dragon is Komodo Island, Indonesia. But, we can see this awesome
animal at the zoo. I guest every zoo in this world should have this animal.
Komodo is structurally not too different with the other lizard family but because the shape is so big then this animal is also known as
the king of lizard. Komodo grows at the maximum length of 3 meters with 70-80 kilograms weight. Komodo is a venomous lizard that
hunts any other animal such as birds, and mammals.
When it bites the other animal, at first the victim would run away and death somewhere. But after that, komodo would find it
because it has tongue and sense of smell to detect the carrion. Even it has only single ear bone and bad sight, but using the
tongue and the smell sense it can find the carrion at the radius of 9, 5 km.
Komodo is a dangerous animal which can attack and kill human if there is no other food to eat. Even this lizard prefers hot and dry
place such as grassland, savanna and forest to stay, but it also can swim at the sea and eat some carrions at the beach.

The Incas used to be a large empire of 990.000 km² in Peru of South America. Their city was high up in the Andes Mountains.
They were well- known for their great wealth, especially gold. This great empire was unfortunately destroyed in an attack by the
Spaniards who were searching for their famed gold. Although this empire existed way back in 1493, it was not backward but
complex and well-organized.
The empire was ruled by the Sapa Inca, Lord of the World, Son of the Sun. He owned everything in the empire - the land, soil, gold
and even the people. The people, therefore, had no freedom.
Boys and girls were to life of obedience and tradition. They began working in their ayllu or family groups. The rule was Ama sua,
ama llulla, ama sheklla, which means, "Do not steal, do not lie, do not be lazy."
Despite this difficult way of live, the Incas were very skillful. They constructed drainage system and underground water reservoirs.
Their buildings were made from huge stones. These were cut to flit perfectly together so that no mortar was needed. Their rope
bridges were so strong that even a horse could gallop across them!
The Incas had no written language. Information was recorded on knotted strings called quipus. These were also used as
calculators. Strong and healthy young boys were chosen as chasquis or couriers to carry messages from one place to another.

The old witch locked Hansel in a cage and set Gretel to clean the house. She planned to eat them both. Each night the children
cried and begged the witch to let them go.
Meanwhile, at home, their stepmother was beginning to wish she had never tried to get rid of the children. “I must find them,” she
said and set off into the forest.
Many hours later, when her feet were tired from walking and her lips were dry from thirst, she came to the cottage belonging to the
witch. The stepmother peeped through the window. Her heart cried out when she saw the two children.
She picked up the broom leaning against the door and crept inside. The witch was putting some stew in the oven when the
stepmother gave her an almighty push. The witch fell into the oven and the stepmother shut the door.
‘Children, I have come to save you,’ she said hugging them tightly. I have done a dreadful thing. I hope in time you will forgive me.
Let me take you home and become a family again. They returned to their home and the stepmother became the best mother
anyone could wish to have, and of course they lived happily ever after!

Controlling Children Using Computer
Computer and internet are useful as well as powerful. Information about health and safe usage of computer and Internet, especially
for children, should be owned by each family. Computer connected to internet is powerful way to socialize with others. It can be
good but also bad effect. Recently we hear a lot of children get the advantage of social networking sites but we often see the news
about the disadvantage of it for children. Healthy and safety of computer and Internet usage should continue to be campaigned.
The role of parent in assisting and directing children in using computer is very necessary. Installation of software monitor such as
key logger which has function to watch and note all activities relating to keyboard usage is helpful but not enough to protect
children from potential harms. Children tend to hide what they have done in front of the computer to their parent. They see that all
of they have done are their privacy and no one may know.
We can not prevent children from using computer because it is multifunctional. However, many parents worry about what their kids
do in front of the computer; whether they are doing homework or even just playing games. Or spending all time to surf internet
which is the materials do not fit with his age. There is a tendency, especially teenagers, want to become acquainted with many
strangers out side. The lack parental supervision of children’s activities is likely to pose a potential danger to them. So parental
monitor against the use of computers needs to be done from time to time.

Heroin and a syringe were found next to the body of Tony Ayala Jr., San Antonio police disclosed Thursday in a report that says
investigators suspect a drug overdose killed the troubled boxer.
According to a newly released police report, the items were found on a desk next to Ayala’s body, which was found face-down on
the floor next to the desk and chair. Investigators said the syringe contained what appeared to be a narcotic and that a ball of
heroin wrapped in tape was found on the desk with a cooker cap and a spoon.
There was no sign of trauma on the body, police said. According to the report, a woman whom officers found weeping over Ayala’s
body said the pair had been drinking alcohol and quarrelling in a house they shared the night before. About 1 a.m. Tuesday, he
left the house angry, she said. About 7:30 a.m., sensing that something was wrong, she went to the gym owned by the Ayala family
where he trained and found his body.
The woman’s name was concealed in the report. Ayala, a 1979 Golden Gloves middleweight champion, was 19 when he was
arrested and later convicted of raping a schoolteacher in New Jersey. He was undefeated in 22 bouts with 19 knockouts and set to
fight Davey Moore for a junior middleweight title before the arrest.
After serving 16 years of a 35-year term for rape, Ayala repeatedly ran into legal trouble in Texas as he tried to revive his boxing
career. He was shot in the left shoulder by a woman after allegedly breaking into her home and refusing to leave in 2000. He got
probation and a short jail term in a plea agreement.
Four years later, Ayala went back to prison for 10 years when he violated parole in the Texas case. He was pulled over for
speeding and charged with driving without a license, possession of heroin and possession of pornography. Ayala was charged in
2003 with having sex with a 13-year-old girl, but the case was dismissed when the girl said she lied about the incident.

As we know now, global warming which is happening right now has a very big impact on natural conditions, animals and humans.
Well, do you know how global warming which has a particularly serious impact on life happens? To know the process of how this
phenomenon occurs, see the following explanation.
The process starts when sunlight shines the earth where most of the heat is absorbed by the earth and a half of it is reflected back
onto the air (atmosphere). Sunshine returning to the air is trapped by gases in the atmosphere such as carbon dioxide, sulfur
dioxide, methane, water vapor, and so on. This event is known as the greenhouse effect.
Solar radiation on the earth's atmosphere makes ozone layer get thinner and makes the sunlight which shines the Earth become
hotter. The greenhouse effect also causes the sunlight which is reflected back onto space is reflected back into the earth. This
phenomenon causes the earth continuously getting hotter. This condition is known as global warming.
