    Wash down the gearbox.

    Note: Make sure the parking brake is applied.

    Switch off the main switch and disconnect the negative battery cable.

    Mark up and remove the marked air lines on the gearbox.

    Note: Make sure that no dirt gets in (protect with plastic plugs or plastic bags).

    A Clutch — goes to clutch cylinder

    B Control air from split button

    C Control air from split inhibitor valve

    D Supply air, inhibitor cylinder

    E Control air from range button

    Mark up and remove the electric lines on the gearbox.

    A Speed sensor (7052)

    B Contact, control lamp low split (214) S

    C Reverse light contact (217) REW

    D Solenoid inhibitor for area inhibitor (6050) IB

    E Contact, low range (2074) LR

    F Solenoid value, range inhibitor (614)

    Remove the cross stay for the gear shift arm on the gearbox.

    Note: Marking on the gear shift arm.

    Release the mechanical joint and remove the arm from the shaft.

    Release the clutch servo and hang it up in the frame.

    Block up the truck under the rear shaft.

    Unscrew the propeller shaft from the gearbox and put the shaft to the side.

    Unscrew the lower nuts from the clutch housing's studs.

    Prepare the trolley jack (C) 9999954 with fixtures (A) 9988201, (B) 9998554 and (D) 9999856.
    Place the trolley jack under the gearbox, and adjust the tilt. Fit the bolt from fixture ( A) 9988201 in the attachment hole
    between the range gear housing and the main housing.

    Special tools: 9999954, 9998554, 9999856

    Other special equipment: 9988201

    Unscrew the remaining nuts from the clutch housing's studs.

    16
    Carefully pull the gearbox backwards until the input shaft is free from the release bearing. Lower down and pull out the
    gearbox from the truck.
