    Hand Tools

    It is usually light and are used without the help of animals or machines. They are being used in performing farm
    activities which involve small areas like school garden and home garden.

    Bolo - It is used for cutting tall grasses and weeds and chopping branches of trees.

    Crowbar - It is used for digging big holes and for digging big
    stones and stumps.

    Pick- mattock - It is used for digging canals, breaking hard top and for digging up stones
    and tree stumps.

    Grab Hoe - It is used for breaking hard topsoil and for pulverizing soil.

    Spade - It is used for removing trash or soil, digging canal or ditches, and mixing soil media.

    Shovel - It is used for removing trash, digging loose soil, moving soil from
    one place to another and for mixing soil media.

    Rake - It is used for cleaning the ground and leveling the topsoil.

    Spading Fork - It is used for loosening the soil, digging out root crops, and turning over
    the materials in a compost heap.

    Light Hoe - It is used for loosening and leveling soil and for digging up furrows for
    planting.

    Hand Trowel - It is used for loosening the soil around the growing plants and putting small
    amount of manure fertilizer.
    Hand Cultivator - It is used for cultivating the garden plot by loosening the soil
    and removal/removing weeds around the plant.

    Hand Fork - It is used for Inter row cultivation.

    Pruning Shears - It is used for cutting branches of planting


    materials and unnecessary branches of plant.

    Axe - Is used for cutting a bigger size post

    Knife - It is used for cutting planting materials and for performing other operations in
    horticulture.

    Sprinklers - Are used for watering seedlings and young plants.

    Water Pails - Are used for hauling water, manure and fertilizers.

    Sprayers - Are used to spray insecticides, foliar fertilizers, fungicides and herbicides.

    Wheel Barrow - It is used for hauling trash, manures, fertilizers,


    planting materials and other equipment.

    Plow - is a tool or farm implement used in farming for initial cultivation of soil
    in preparation for sowing seed or planting to loosen or turn the soil.

    Harrow - A device consisting of a heavy framework having


    several disks or teeth in a row, which is dragged across
    ploughed land to smooth or break up the soil, to remove weeds or cover seeds
    Rotavator - trademark a type of machine with rotating blades that break up soil.

    Agricultural Equipment
    Any kind of machinery used on a farm to help with faming.

    A tractor is a vehicle intended for drawing, towing, pushing or pulling something which
    cannot propel itself and, often, powering it too.

    A sprayer is a piece of agricultural equipment used primarily to apply herbicides,


    pesticides and fertilizers to agricultural crops.

    A combine is a machine that "combines" the tasks of harvesting, threshing, and cleaning
    grain plants

    A cotton harvester is a machine that automates cotton harvesting.

    A field cultivator is a farm implement for stirring and pulverizing the soil, either
    before planting or to remove weeds and to aerate and loosen the soil after the crop has
    begun to grow.
