Details of Drill : Lowering life boat to sea water

At 10.00 Lt, Abandon ship alarm has been sounded by master from bridge and all crews heard this
sign hasty to use personal safety equipments such as lifejacket, safety shoes, helmet, and assembly at
respective boats stations. At this occurrences each station leader check and account his members and
then reported to master. Master assigning order to second mate to lowering lifeboat no. 1 (Rescue
Boat) until sea water. Member of lifeboat No. 1 take rapid action , after all lifeboat lashing have
realized , water proof plug have closed and then lifeboat lowered until boat deck , and all crews enter
to lifeboat. So when the lifeboat is waterborne one members release the hook the engine direct starting
to maneuver for leaving ship and leader lifeboat order to engineer members to tested sprinkler system
by pulling sprinkler control lever and found ok. At 10.22 LT
, drill finished.
Result :
- Lifeboat equipments in complete condition.
- Boat davit in good condition.
- Check and tested engine lifeboats no.1 and 2 and found good condition and ready for used
- Familiarizations about task and duties and position for new crew joiner

Assessment of Personal :
- All crews participation within this drill exemption Chief Officer, AB, cadet and oiler on duty.

Date of Drill : July 18th,2007 Time Start : 10.25 Lt Time End : 11:00 Lt
Details of Drill : FIRE FIGHTING DRILL
At 10.25 Lt,Fire alarm was raised continuously by master from bridge caused fire detection panel on
bridge give indicate any fire assumed at Pump Room. All crews heard this sign immediately proceed
to muster station with personal safety equipments such as helmet, safety shoes and working clothes
and gathering to respective their team. At muster point each leader check personal safety equipment
and account their members and then report to master. Chief Officer as leader Emergency squad order
one his members to use fire man Outfit for fighting to fire and First Engineer as leader from support
squad order his members to prepared fire hose and portable extinguisher .Technical team take first
action to stop blower, electric current, close ventilation, and supplying fuel for ME and
AE,subsequently emergency squad proceeding to with caution and then chief officer report to master
about fire condition and assumed they have try to extinguished fire by portable foam exthinguisher and
CO2 cause fire assumed explosive from cargo pump no.2. On this opportunity second officer give
explanation how to operate Fix CO2 Alarm and checked pipe line CO2 to Pump room in satisfy
condition and good working and the last activity is selected 1 crew for explanation again what are
steps to operate CO2 alarm test and ensuring crews have been understood with respect to appliance.
On 11:00 Lt drill has been concluded with satisfy condition.
Result :
- Fireman outfit and found good condition
- Pipe Line For fix CO2 in good conditiuon
- Check and tested alarm fix CO2 and found good function
- Familizations about task and duties and positions for new crew joiner

Details of Drill : OIL SPILL DRILL

At 11.05 Lt,Oil spill alarm was raised continuously by master and crews heard this alarm readily wear
safety equipments properties such as safety shoes, helmet and proceed to muster point and assembly to
respective team. Assumed suction pipe line from Cargo pum break effect of back pressure . so that
a lot of cargo drop to pump room and officer on duty look this condition directly stop discharge
activity.Deck team readily take actions to prevent cargo drop to river water by regarding scupper plug
on deck and used IOPP equipments to cope leakage cargo on deck. On this opportunity second mate
as safety officer give explanations concerning all IOPP equipments especially to new joiners and also
their functions. Finally at 11:30 Lt,this drill has been carried out with satisfied result.

Result :
- Equipments of oil prevention pollution in good and complete condition.
- Check and tested Foam Applicator unit and found good condition and can be used
- Good cooperation’s between teams and all members understood to each of duty
- Familirization on the new crews joiner about position and type IOPP equipment.

- All crews complying within this drill except to engineer and oiler on duty.

Details of Drill : EMERGENCY STEERING GEAR DRILL

At 10.40 Lt,Emergency steering alarm continuously was arised by master from bridge.All crews heard
this alarm directly proceed to respective station with safety personal equipments such as
boilersuit,helmet and safety shoes.At this moment assumed vessel navigate at musi river and suddenly
steering machine blackout and second mate directly go to forecastle to prepare anchore and standby
for letgo.Chief officer and his member proceed to steering room to prepare emergency steering. After
emergency steering ready master give order to chief mate to synchronized indicating rudder indicator
on bridge and in steering room and order to chief to bring rudder to port 5,10 and vice versa.At this
moment chief also remind again to crews how are procedure to prepare emergency steerig.Finally drill
complated at 11.00 Lt within satisfy condition.

Result :
- Equipments for emergency steering in good and complete conditions and also placed at duly
place.
- Valves at steering machine in good condition.

- All crews follow this drill exemption to oiler on duty.

Details of Drill : MAN OVER BOARD DRILL
At 10.00 Lt,Man over board alarm was arised by master from bridge and all crews heard it proceeding
to muster point with personal safety equipments such as working clothes,helmet,and safety shoes.On
this time master give order to second officer to throw a box for appoineted as man over board at
portside vessel after that dectitate excuted and procedure man over board was carried out by second
mate,master do hard to port steering to keep clear victim and vessel manoevering and showing to all
crews a single turning methode.Chief mate as leader of deck team maintain look out to victim position
and second mate and his member standby at rescue boat station and prepare everything to
lifeboat,winch,and davit and then wait further information from master.On this event second mate and
his member lowering rescue boat till boat deck and after vessel has nearest to victim master stop
machine and ordering to second mate to lowering lifeboat and take victim from sea and analyses also
his condition if any sores to his body must be immediatlly reported to master.Assumed boat team
succesfull to help him and found no injury to his body and victim in conscious condition.Finally at
10.30 Lt,Man over board drill has been complated with satisfy result.

Details of Drill : LIFERAFT DRILL AND LIVE SAVING EQUIPMENTS
At 11.05 Lt,Driil continued to carried out liferaft drill and familirization concerning live saving
equipments on board.The first time all crews assembly to starboard side liferaft and here second mate
was given explanations about liferaft requirements accordance with SOLAS chapter III section IV
reg.38 and how to release liferaft.On this moment few crews submit questions about contents of
liferaft and second mate was given properly answer according with requirements in SOLAS
book.Second mate also lend explanation to release liferft with manual,automatic,and davit
methods.After completed explanation concerning liferaft all crews proceed to bridge and second mate
continoue given explanations how to utilise and operated safety equipments and live saving
equipments such as parachut signal,hand flare,smoke signal,immersion suit,line throwing
apparatus,sarts,EEBD and epirb.At this moment second mate demonstrates how to wear them in
emergency situation and accordance with requirements of SOLAS.Finally at 11.30 Lt these drills have
been complated within satisfy result.

Result : - Liferaft and other safety equipments in good positions and complates entire accordance with
SOLAS requirements.

any fires assumed on galley. All crew heard it direct proceed to muster point with personal safety
equipments. Chief officer as leader from emergency squad orders two his member to used fireman
outfit and ready for fighting to fire. Second officer as leader from support squad order his members to
prepare fire hose and portable fire extinguishers. Technical team takes first action to stop blower
electric current, close ventilation and supplying oil for main engine and auxiliary machine.
Subsequently emergency squared proceeding to galley with caution and then chief officer report to
master about fire condition and assumed they have tried to extinguish fire by portable dry chemical
and fire able to extinguish. Finally at: 10.30 Lt, drill finished.

Result: NONE
