Faculty Room
Same as the CIM room but the area is smaller. This has continuous use of air-
conditioning system and lighting system.
Formula:
ALTERNATIVES
Just open the window during daytime.
Reduce Light Bulb usage.
Reduce Air-conditioner Unit Usage.
Clarify inverter of Air-conditioner or Refrigerator.
Almost all the rooms even the lobby uses fluorescent light for illumination. Light
consumes great amount of energy since some of it is still on throughout the night, use
light bulbs with the value of 7.5W only.
Use air-conditioning unit with inverter to reduce power consumption.
CONCLUSION
Based on the data collected and audited, the energy consumption of Ground floor of
ESEP building is greater in terms of ventilation. Air conditioning unit is essential in
classrooms and offices so high efficiency is needed. This efficiency can be obtained by
improving the walls, doors, and even windows of the rooms that utilizes air-conditioning
units.
The conservation can be economical and practical by doing common practices of saving
energy.
Almost all of the walls do not have insulation and the air-conditioning units are
depreciated. Maintenance is needed to prolong the life of the unit or else the cost would
be greater.
It is also to be observed that the wider area covered, the greater the electricity
consumption.
The consumption depends on the duration of usage and the wattage of the appliance and
not only with total number of appliances owned.
