Course policies
 Assignment and project rules
Each of the four assignments of the course may be failed once. You fail if you: a) Miss a deadline, b)
Don’t submit a paper according to the determined topic and workgroup, c) Don’t submit an assignment
within the range of the determined length, d) Commit plagiarism and/or e) Your task has poor
academic quality.
 Project rule:
Attendance at the defense seminar is mandatory. That means, according to their allocation students must
attend the defense seminar on mentioned date. Everybody showing up later or leaving earlier fails the
project. That means that you need to attend ALL the presentations in the day you have been allocated to
and not only those in which you are participating.
Student must fulfill all requirements of the project accordingly. Everyone responsible to show their work
output on packet tracer in running stage. If anyone commit plagiarism, student will be considered fail in
project.
 Class presence rules
Students should familiarize themselves with course syllabus and instructor expectations about specific
methods for requesting excused absences.
Questions regarding absences should be directed through the appropriate reporting channels.
The student is responsible for providing satisfactory evidence to the instructor to substantiate the reason
for absence.
o Participation in University sponsored activity at the request of University authorities.
o Death or major illness in a student’s immediate family.
o Illness of a dependent family member.
o Participation in legal proceedings or administrative procedures that require a student’s presence.
o Illness that is too severe or contagious for the student to attend class.
o Required participation in military duties.
o Mandatory admission interviews for professional or graduate school which cannot be
rescheduled.

 Make-up of quizzes/exams.
Make up of exam according to departmental policy.
Makeup of Quizzes (Each student strictly follows timespan of quiz and no retake of quiz is allowed)

PROJECT – Networking with Packet Tracer (Topology Design, IP Planning &

Configuration)
Points: 100
Weightage: 10%

Description:
This project aims to provide basic understanding of Computer Networks. In this project, Students must
design network topology, make IP Plan and Configure network devices as per requirement. There are
basically three phases of this project (Topology Design, IP Planning & Configuration). Each phase will be
evaluated separately. Each phase is dependent on the predecessor phase.
