DIRECTIONS: What is the purpose of assessment shown in the following

1. A. Assessment as selection or placement


 A selection assessment is an attempt to get a better understanding of
how the student would perform in the position applied for.

preconceptions because learning, and therefore instruction itself, varies
depending on whether preconceptions agree with the concepts being
taught or contradict those concepts.

Learning Task 2: ASSESSMENT SCENARIOS


DIRECTIONS: Determine the role of assessment on he given scenarios. Was
assessment used for placement, formative, diagnostic or
summative purposes? How was the information used? In three
to five sentences, explain your answer.

1. Formative Assessment
 After analyzing the result of the national achievement test the instructor
utilized a learning and instructing process by setting an objective that
has to be accomplished. The main objective is to determine on the off
chance that their improvement or progress of student work. It is clearly
stated within the situation that after two years, the performance of each
learner makes strides especially to the target subject.

2. Summative Assessment
 In order to distinguish if the students know the topic the instructor will
make a technique by giving a question, Summative test is a method to
gather information and data through questioning, testing, and
observation. After reading the answer of the student the instructor can
distinguish what plan are, he/she getting to utilize for the following
session.

3. Diagnostic Assessment
 Some learners had troubles or tribulations in a particular range. To
determine the weakness of the learner we utilized to define a technique
that Ms. Jimenez did. By giving a certain question, Ms. Jimenez
distinguishes where the student fizzled and she makes a way on how
to manage with this situation.

4. Placement Assessment
 Giving a few pre-assessments in every month is exceptionally vital to
know each learner’s progression. In this situation, the instructor made a
