Paper 1 Reading Comprehension and Grammar Usage


Reading Comprehension
( A+B1 = 30 marks) / (A+B2 = 40 marks)

Passage A Compulsory – a Chinese celebrity and a poem about Macau (20 marks)
Some poetic devices you need to remember: rhyme, onomatopoeia, personification and metaphor

Passage B1 (Easy) – mountaineering (10 marks) [Hint: Please read the texts from Unit 6, NTP3B]

Passage B2 (Difficult) – a Chinese movie star (20 marks)

Study and prepare the four topics for your Paper 4 Speaking Exam. On the examination day, you
will be examined on ONE of the topics.

Open Day.
In your discussion, you may include:
 which areas to decorate
 what to show to visitors e.g. students’ work, class photos…
 what materials to use e.g. scissors, glue…
