Bloom's Taxonomy:

Bloom's Taxonomy was created in 1956 under the leadership of educational psychologist
Dr. Benjamin Bloom in order to promote higher forms of thinking in education, such as
analyzing and evaluating concepts, processes, procedures, and principles, rather than just
remembering facts (rote learning). It is most often used when designing educational, training,
and learning processes.

1
Background:

Psychology existed centuries ago even before Christ. Its developmental period is as old as other
sciences. According to Herman Ebbinghaus, its past is long but its history is short. It is
scientifically based on living organism and its behavior since the mid of 19th century, however,
the old Greek script, Edwin Smith Surgical Papyrus” is of 3000 BC. It gives the details about
mind and behavior that mind controls all of the bodily activities.

Man from the beginning has been curious about himself. He often asks such questions. What is
he? How does he act and why does he act?

The developmental history of Psychology can be divided in

1. Greek Period
