A. INTRODUCTION
- In this report, I will introduce:
+ Basic knowledge of team dynamics
+ Basic knowledge of CDP
+ My short-term and long-term plans
+ Skills I need to fulfill all of my projects
- Also on assignment 1, I have completed group work and on assignment 2 I will show
everyone the results of the group
II. The importance of team dynamics in the success and/or failure of group work
Team dynamics in the workplace are important because they impact creativity,
productivity, and effectiveness. Since group work is integral to organizations, improving
group dynamics can lead to better work outcomes, customer satisfaction, and an
improved bottom line. A team with poor dynamics includes people whose behavior
disrupts work flow and results in wrong choices, poor decision-making or no decision-
making at all. Poor dynamics leave the team more vulnerable to conflicts.
III. In my group
2. Analyse how your team dynamics bring success to your group work.
In my team and members work very actively and effectively. We share the work equally.
We always help each other when working, exchanging all information with each other.
My team is always doing its best to fulfill the roles that have been assigned. Always help
your team members if they haven't done their work yet. More important is the trust of the
team members. Thanks to that trust, everyone gave me the lead. In order not to misplace
everyone's trust, I did my best to make the best decisions for the group. And the results
we got were very successful. Our work was completed on time and all members passed.

10. Speaker Notes
- Slide 1: Hello everyone. Thank you all for being present in full today. I would like to
introduce myself as the leader of Tra My, my team members are Van Nhat, Huu Hoang,
and Gia Huy. Before I introduce today's topic, I have a small note that I want to send to
you all. My presentation will last for 10 minutes. So in the course of my presentation,
there are many places you do not understand or have questions about, please take notes
and ask me after I finish the presentation !. Ok, the topic I want to introduce today is
Teamwork Dynamics
- Slide 2: In this topic, I divided into 4 parts:
+ Part 1: Definition of teamwork dynamics
+ Part 2: Teamwork dynamics characteristics
+ Part 3: Teamwork dynamics benefits
+ Part 4: Task roles
- Slide 3: We will go with the first part of the teamwork dynamics definition
- Slide 4: Henry Ford has a great saying about teamwork “Coming together is a
beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” Thanks to this
statement, I can see how important it is to work in groups.
- Slide 5: So what do you think is teamwork dynamics?
+ Definition: Group dynamics can be understood as to how team member’s distinct roles
and behaviors impact other group members and the group as a whole. Team dynamics
are therefore the unconscious, psychological factors that influence the direction of a
team’s behavior and performance.
- Slide 6: And what do positive group dynamics look like?
+ A team with positive group dynamics tend to have team members who trust each
other. They can work towards collective decisions and they are held accountable for
outcomes. A good team can also be constructive and effective, and exhibit mutual
understanding and self-regulation behavior.
- Slide 7: And group dynamics matter because they impact things like creativity,
productivity, and effectiveness.
- Slide 8: By 2020, many companies in the world allow employees to work in groups for
the best job results.
- Slide 9: According to Mckinsey's has 86% of employees and executives cite lack of
communication or workplace failures!
- Slide 10: I move on to the next part of the topic. That is the characteristic of teamwork
dynamics
- Slide 11: In the characteristics of teamwork dynamics, I have explored and selected the 5
most necessary characteristics in teamwork.
+ The first is communication: Being a good team member means being able to clearly
communicate your ideas with the group. You must be able to convey information via
phone, email, and in person. You want to make sure your tone is always professional but
26 | P a g e
friendly. Both verbal and nonverbal communication is important when working with a
group in person.
+ The second is conflict management: An important teamwork skill is being able to
mediate problems between team members. You need to be able to negotiate with your
team members to settle disputes and make sure everyone is happy with the team’s
choices.
+ The third is dependability: You want to be a reliable team member so that your
coworkers can trust you. Make sure you stick to deadlines and complete any tasks you are
assigned. This will help you gain your colleagues’ trust.
- Slide 12:
+ The fourth is listening: Another important part of communication is listening well. You
must be able to listen to the ideas and concerns of your peers to be an effective team
member. By asking questions for clarification, demonstrating concern, and using
nonverbal cues, you can show your team members that you care and that you understand
them.
+ And finally is respectfulness: People will be more open to communicating with you if
you convey respect for them and their ideas. Simple actions like using a person's name,
making eye contact, and actively listening when a person speaks will make the person
feel appreciated.
- Slide 13: According to Mckinsey's statistics, 97% of Employees and Executives believe
lack of alignment within a team world of a task or project. What a staggering number!
- Slide 14: So what benefits does teamwork bring us? We will move on to the third part of
the benefits of teamwork dynamics
- Slide 15: I will also divide this part into 4 parts. We will go with the first section
Working together facilitates idea generation and creativity
+ Mr. Mark Twain has a very good saying “There are no new ideas; there are only new
ways to recycle old ones.”
+ This depository of “old ideas” is called collective intelligence – intelligence only
possible through collaboration.
+ Besides a bigger pool of ideas, working together also creates an enthusiasm for idea
generation that people usually don’t experience alone
- Slide 16: Next is part 2, I will talk about Teamwork productivity and brings better
business results
+ Working in a team inspires people to work harder. Also, we see each other's strengths
and weaknesses so that we can help each other create a good result.
+ Capitalize on the strength of your team members. Manage them with this model in
mind. You will soon notice an improvement in the quality of output you produce as a
team.
- Slide 17: In part 3, I will introduce the next benefit that is Teamwork relieves stress
27 | P a g e
+ We’re probably all tired of hearing about stress, how to become less stressed, and how
to prevent it. According to research shows team members working together, in the long
run, reduce the stress level because they share the workload.
+ Besides, all team members perceive the task as easier.
+ The benefit teamwork has in the arena of mental health also comes from the fact
that team members act as each other’s relief team. That results in a more flexible work
schedule and a piece of mind because your personal life did not disrupt that important
presentation.
- Slide 18: The last part of the benefits section is When we work together, we learn
faster
+ Once you put together a team of people, there’s a great chance it will consist of people
of different ages, backgrounds, skills, and experience. While there are certain challenges
at closing the gaps between these differences, the richness of shared knowledge far
surpasses it. This means a continuous opportunity for people to learn from each other –
professionally and personally.
+ Team members also learn by observing other member's work.
+ New team members can quickly learn the principles and become more effective than
working alone
- Slide 19: There is a quote I like best from Michael Jordan about teamwork "Talent wins
games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships." It means a lot and is also a
motivating sentence for me and everyone
- Slide 20: We come to the final part of today's presentation which is the roles of team
members
+ According to the theory of Benn and Sheats' Group Roles, our group has also divided
roles for each member of the group. From there for everyone to contribute ideas to create
the best possible result
● I'm Tra My the leader of the group. My role in the team is the co-ordinator. It means
Identifies and explains the relationships between ideas. May pull together a few different
ideas and make them cohesive.
● The next member is Van Nhat. Your role is Opinion Giver. And the meaning is
expressed his or her own opinions and beliefs about the subject being discussed. Often
states opinions in terms of what the group "should" do. In addition, Ban Nhat also
provides important support for Huy.
● Next is the 3rd member of the group Huu Hoang. You have the role of Contributor and
it means proposes ideas or different ways of group problems or goals. Like Nhat, Ban
Hoang also partially supports Nhat.
● The last member of the group is Gia Huy. Members supported by Nhat. Your role is to
Procedural Technician and Recorder. The meaning of those two roles is Acts as the
secretary or minute-keeper. Records ideas and keeps track of what goes on at each
meeting. Facilitates group discussion by taking care of logistical concerns like where
meetings are to take place and what supplies are needed for each meeting.
28 | P a g e
+ It is the diverse roles of the people in the group that my group has this success. I am
very happy to be teaming up with you.
- Slide 21: Finally, I will summarize the above sections
● Characteristics of teamwork dynamics
+ Communication
+ Conflict Management
+ Dependability
+ Listening
+ Reliability
● Benefits of teamwork dynamics
+ Working together facilitates idea generation and creativity
+ Teamwork improves productivity and brings better business results
+ Teamwork relieves stress
+ When we work together, we learn faster
- Slide 22: My group's presentation here is the end. Do you have any questions? If not, I
would like to stop speaking here. Thank you for listening!
I. Definition of CPD
- Continuing professional development, or CPD, is the ongoing process of developing,
maintaining and documenting your professional skills.
- These skills may be gained formally, through courses or training, or informally, on the
job or by watching others.
29 | P a g e
within your profession. CPD can lead to increased public confidence in individual
professionals and their profession as a whole. Depending on the profession – CPD
contributes to improved protection and quality of life, the environment, sustainability,
property, and the economy. This particularly applies to high-risk areas or specialized
practice areas which often prove impractical to monitor on a case by case basis.
I. Setting goals
Short term goals:
- Pass all subjects
- Become an excellent student
- Learn English better
