Session Title MODULE 2: DISCOVERING THE C’S


Duration 1 ½ Hour
Target Participants Guidance Counselors, Guidance Teachers/Career Advocates, Education Supervisors, School Heads, Master
Teachers, Key Teachers.
Link to the Previous The previous session focuses on helping the learner in identifying their curriculum exit based on their
Session/Topic interests and personality traits with the help of the NCAE results.
This session will make the learners use their chosen exits as their motivation in striving harder in improving
their academic performance by making them realize the importance of academic achievement to life and
career success. This will also help them in setting their path towards their chosen career by presenting them
the different lifelong skills that responds to the changing nature of work, relate their academic achievements
to life and career success and utilize the data on Labor Market Information (LMI).
Link to the Next Session/Topic The next session will serve as a venue for the students in assessing their chosen profession based on their
academic achievements, their realities of life and all the information they will gather from the 2 nd session.
How does this contribute to the At the end of the session, the participants should have acquired a better understanding of the essential

Learning Objectives (refer to At the end of the session, the participants are expected to:

Key Understandings 1. The relationship of academic achievement to life and career success that will encourage the learners to
strive harder under their respective strands and tracks consequently, improving their academic
standing.
2. The Labor Market Information (LMI) utilization for various job opportunities where learners could have
the opportunity to expose their skills and knowledge will be given priority. Government institutions
headed by DOLE/TESDA and other NGO career training agencies should be the participants key service
provider for the learners to hone their craft.
3. Identify the 7 C’s of Lifelong Skills that will prepare them to meet both the occupational changes and
changing individual needs associated with life and career.
