me. Alleluia, Alleluia
Gospel: St John 10:11-18 `The Good shepherd is the one who lays down His life for His sheep’
Prayers: Please remember in your prayers all those who are sick or ill, those who are housebound

CAFOD’S BIG WALK FOR WATER Many thanks to all the friends, families & parishioners
who supported members of St John’s & St Wulstan’s CAFOD group in walking 40,000 steps during
Lent. You have helped us raise at least £1785 for CAFOD’S water projects in places like Ethiopia.
This is a tremendous achievement & is more than the group would normally raise in a year so well
done everyone! For more information about CAFOD’S water projects go to cafod.org.uk
Thank you from CAFOD Thank you for your generous donations to CAFOD’s Family Fast Day
during Lent. We featured Marian & her son Svondo in Zimbabwe in Lent 208. The community
vegetable garden that your donations helped to provide is growing well & during the pandemic the
family has survived on the vegetables. Your support has also helped to provide soap & handwashing
stations in the garden & family homes. This is just one of many long- term development projects
that CAFOD has funded with the money from that Fast Day. Thank you for your steadfast support.
Work at our Churches We are continuing work at both our Parishes The planning permission for
the new windows at St John’s Church Hall is now with the Borough Council, we await the planning
committee meeting. All being well after April 12th people will be returning to use our Parish Halls.
We have organised a cherry picker to help the electrician when the re wiring takes place at St
Wulstans, on 12th April this could take up to two weeks, & is a complicated job. The side Chapel
has been replastered once the rewiring is done new lights will be fitted, as will new emergency
lights. The Chapel will be repainted & new floor tiles put down. St Wulstans Church window
frames will be re-puttied, & painted, PAT Testing of equipment in the Church, Presbytery &
Community Centre at St Wulstans has taken place The same testing will then be arranged for St
John’. Fascias are in the process of being replaced around St Wulstan’s Church, we hope you notice
the improvement.
